I saw him twice, 1995 and 2000. These people saw/heard the end of his prime. By the 1994 LA concert he wasen’t able to effortlessly bounce up into that high register anymore. Most beautiful, brilliant sound that a human has ever made

Such lucky people to have seen and heard this Gift to the World in person! I was part of the Opera Tosca with Luciano , in Miami , Fl 1978 , first time standing on stage next to him, and he starts singing , I say to myself " this guy is not Human! What an Experience that was for me , i will never forget. Back stage he was a funny, warm hearted person, very kind with everyone.

Omar, that's so interesting that you said you thought he was not human! Luciano thought the same of Jussi Bjorling! I've been spending some time comparing those two tenors (I grew up listing to Jussi who was my dad's favorite tenor) and they are an equal blessing to us all! RIP wonderful men!

Grazie di tutto Signor Pavarotti! Fun fact: when Pavarotti visited The Netherlands in 1991 to perform in Ahoy, his visit was not only seen as a huge honor but was also made into a true spectacle. He was flown in by plane named after Luciano Pavarotti. The plane, filled with Dutch singers and other celebrities, left Amsterdam, picked up Pavarotti in Kopenhagen, and flew back to The Netherlands. His concert in Rotterdam was attended by many famous Dutch people, such as football coach Rinus Michels (E.C. '88).

La mejor manera de pasar esta crisis es escuchando al mejor tenor de la historia, es un honor escuchar al gran Pavarotti en esta cuarentena que al oír esta música nunca se perderá la esperanza de que todo va ah salir bien y todo se solucionará, esperanza mundial expresada en canto.....

As a young tenor I met him at a record signing. He was soo encouraging, in such a charming way. No acting...it came from his big heart. He was so loved ...and much missed!

Mehrmals live erleben dürfen - im Park und in der Oper. Es gibt andere wunderbare Sänger - und ich will ja nicht einmal sagen, dass sie weniger gut wären - aber seine Stimme ist einmalig, absolut göttlich!
