Marquise shaped Malaysian flower tutorial

Hello everyone!
This is another version of the Malaysian flower. The difference is in the shape of the petal, which is the shape of marquise....pointed oval. I hope you enjoyed the tutorial and do give it a try! Thank you so much for watching and happy quilling! :).

Hi Aslina what kind of paper strips do you use for this quilling? while I am looking you are making flowers that your strips are strong and thick than I use once. I got my strips from ebe. Where do you get those and the name of them.Thanks. very nice to see your work.

Yes, sure you can just roll the quilling paper with your fingers....but for me it's quite challenging to do that.

HI there.. I'm fairly new to quilling and I just love the relaxed way that you explain the steps. I'm going to buy a quilling board, so could you just advise the width and length of the paper that you used here and when size 10 on the board means? Hope you don't mind my questions. Regards Gail

Hi there Charles....sorry for the late reply. The paper I used here are shredded papers from an A4 size printing paper. The measurements per strip of paper is 3mm wide and 297mm in length. Not sure how to calculate them in inches though. The size 10 is the size of the circle of the circle template that I used to unwind the coils in.

For the quilling flowers that I made in this video, I used A4 80gsm coloured printing papers. I cut the quilling papers myself at this time using paper shredder machine.

Your videos are wonderful and very explanatory. I have really learned a lot. Thank you so much! However, how can you stand those hateful remarks? I want to jump in and correct these people as I am a grandmother who taught proper etiquette to my family. Shame on those hurtful people and shame on their upbringing! I think you should delete their remarks and block them from the page!

Hello Charmaine, ok the pink quilling paper is 3mm (width) x 297mm (length). And the turqoise quilling paper has the same measurement as the pink one. I use shredded papers made from A4 size printing paper. Hope that helps :).

Cik Nuradira boleh beli dari online craft store di Malaysia ni ada atau boleh buat sendiri , diy sendiri, ada beberapa youtube tutorials yg ajar camana nak buat alat tu. Alat tu dipanggil slotted quilling tool.
