Soooooo we did a thing!! This is a special time for us and we are excited to announce that we got married! We wanted to do it online after taking some time to share it amongst family, friends and ourselves. We hope you can understand that even though we make parts of our lives public, we still need our privacy at times. Our relationship comes first, so we needed some time before exposing it all to the internet. Our lives will continue to grow and change and we are excited to bring you along this journey! :)

😭😭😭 Wow!! Thank you guys so much for all the positive responses and well wishes with our marriage! We were very nervous to announce this at first, but it is also a huge relief having this officially out in the world! We wanted to say from the bottom of our hearts thank you guys!! We have a handful of wedding/marriage like videos to release over the next two weeks, and by the end of the month we'll be back to vlogs and our usual videos. We won't be able to respond to every comment, just please know we are reading them and we are incredibly appreciative. 🤗💜

Congrats..you are so a nice couple for me it was just a matter of time.. where will you go for honeymoon? And how will effect that your citizenship? Will Deana become German or will Phil become American? Or Doublecitizenship? I´ve no clue.

@@michaelgrabner8977 Thank you!! We are thinking of doing a honeymoon-like trip to Spain! We can keep our current citizenship, and work through visas and residency permits to stay in either country! I think in the future we could apply for duel citizenship (Not sure), but if/when we have kids they will qualify for duel citizenship if we both have our current passports. 😍

@Deana and Phil Please never give up. To Love your spouse is a decision one continuously makes as well as an effort to work through any struggle or hardship your marriage faces. It’s worth it so long as the good days/moments out number the bad.

I had a very small wedding 27yrs ago, it's the best way to go, we think anyway 😁 I know a lot of people that had big expensive weddings and most were divorced in less then 5yrs!

I agree. For my husband and I this was a second marriage. He was married 34 years and I was married 22. Both of us where married at the JP. Th is second marriage was in our church over 20 years ago. We had about 60 people there that included my 4 kids. We did it in a shoe string at about $3,000! Not bad considering people can spend thousands more, a LOT more, for one day, when you could take that money and put a down payment on a house.

I recently got married to my German as well (I'm American). I'm very similar to you Deana, that I never really dreamed about my wedding day and the thought of putting together a wedding stressed me out. My husband and I are both introverts anyway, and don't like a lot of attention. Originally we were just going to go for the courthouse wedding but my mother convinced me to make it more special. It was still a very small and intimate thing, 10 guests with a short ceremony, and dinner afterwards. We didn't even post anything on Facebook until weeks later lol. Congrats to you both and may you have a wonderful and happy life together.

My wife and I have been watching your videos we've been married for almost 3 years we've been together for going on 11 years and the more we watch your videos the more we realize that we are a lot like you guys. We had a small wedding and we are not well off. I proposed to my wife on her birthday just after we had gotten out of the movie. We love your videos and hope to see many many more

Congratulations! I'm so happy for you two! I married 6,6 years ago, we also did not have a long engagement time nor a big wedding party. We had the closest family and later on the day just 5 friends. I did wear a white dress but we didn't married in church, it was just more like a "okay, there has to be something traditional" about it. The way you feel when you are married is really hard to describe, but I think it's just a deep feeling inside you and you just know that some problems you might have with your spouse are sooooo banal when you are married when it is a huge thing when you are just a "couple". Ya know? :D

Congratulations! I met my wife way back in 2005 when we both signed up for an incredible 3 1/2 month long backpacking trip through parts of Europe where we walked over 1,200 miles together and slept under the stars nearly every night. After almost 14 years together (with almost 7 years married) we can both attest that those who travel together stay together. I can't think of anyone else I could trust as much as I trust my forever travel buddy, thick or thin. Prost!

I’ve been watching you guys for a while but have never left a comment. But, I felt the need or rather the want to tell you guys how happy I am for you!!! You guys are absolutely great together. I know I don’t personally know you and it’s easy to put on an act for the camera...but even the best of actors can’t hide the truth the eyes tell. The way you two look at one another is real and it’s honest love. Not the fairytale artificial fake for the sake of it kind of “love” but the true honest and sometimes imperfect kind of love. I wish you both the best and hope to have the honor of watch you two possibly start a family (your children will be absolutely adorable) if that’s something you decide to share or an endeavor you wish to pursue. Hello from 51 years down the road. Herzlichen Glückwunsch und alles Gute für eure Zukunft! Phil, I'm right-handed and the ring stays on for almost anything but electrical work (BZZZT ZAP!) It's kinda scraped and marked up but, hey, scars are tattoos with a story to them. Besides, trust me, after a while it feels so "something's not right here" without it. :)

Im married now for 3 years and I totally feel you decision about the small "untraditional " wedding. We did nearly the same, except that we had a big party at night in our most favorite heavy metal club in oberhausen (helvete) with our friends. So happy married life 💙

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I think it's great you had the type of wedding that fits who you are, both individually and as a couple. I also think you made the right decision to keep it private. Phil said it so well, that this was personal ane the channel is business. Personal things like this you don't want to expose to the negativity that sometimes comes via social media and youtube.
