I had no idea too, but if it goes as quick as in the original, with only one gift a day, by the end of the first month you can marry Cecilia and probably Molly too, by the end of summer Lumina, and by the end of Fall Nami. It's really the easiest Story of Seasons game in order to get married. (Flashback to Story of Seasons on 3DS in which you couldn't even trigger Elise's heart event until the end of year 2 lol)

Lumina still looks like a little kid to me here though, even though there is a "mature" version of her later.

I really miss the bachelors old looks. I played the OG game back around it’s release so was a pretty young kid/pre teen. I kind of really liked the male candidates and all the characters in generals eclectic, unusual looks. It’s feels weird seeing them made more “conventionally” attractive as it feels they loss a lot of their uniqueness.

As far as I could tell, this didn't happen. When I got to year 2, I allowed them to propose to me and I received a choice of Cecilia or Matthew and I went with Matt and Cecilia and Vesta didn't despise me for that. Though I obviously married someone from their Farm anyway.

Me too... I never owned the girl version of the game, but thought he was at the very least just bland and uninteresting. I think I tended to go for Cecilia in those games. I might have done Muffy/Molly once, and maybe Nami once. I'm kind of sad there's no little vocalizations whenever you talk to people now though ... I really miss that. I only here that when Takakura delivers an animal or something.

Hi! You get to choose the gender of your child during the wedding at the end of the first year and when you start the second year you will have a toddler. It's the same no matter if it's a same-sex relationship or not!

You can give five gifts per person per day, if all the gifts are different types of items. So with the improved movement it’s really not too hard to befriend everyone!

Am guessing if there’s more content to this game which I hope there is they will include Flora as a marriage bachelorette, also hoping they add Leia the mermaid as well since there’s the basement in Daryl’s lab. Am also wondering if the mysterious man that flora keeps mentioning about is Skye. Yeah something tells me there’s more to come to this remake then what we’ve gotten so far. Keeping my fingers crossed 🤞

YUP. We do. Still my major complaint with the series. “Dear Ol’” Taks utterly controls your sex life and if you don’t do things HIS way, he can apparently disinherit you. …when like. Not like MC’s Father had anything to do with MC or made the farm productive whatsoever while he was alive. Just…bought the land, maybe built the buildings then…did nothing until he died and willed it to MC. And well. Taks had PLENTY of time to adopt or have someone conceive his own heir if he wanted a “family” farm so badly. Takakura is literally The Worst. (And my personal theory? He’s actually some sort of spirit. The REAL reason why people Literally Never Truly Leave the valley, even those who wish to. As relaxing as the game’s environment is, that aspect is always kinda…eldritch horror.)

So a game FORCING me to do it vs if I want to has and always will be a sore point for me-ESPECIALLY since there’s not enough TIME in the original releases especially to make the candidates half as interesting as candidates in other HM/SoS titles. THAT is a major problem, period, and probably why it never returned as a game mechanic

The game isn't even out in English. Even if this was a reasonable critique (it isn't, other languages exist and you have to accept that), do you think Josh is a time traveler or something?

Its just another option for people who are lgbt. They really aren't promoting the gay relationships and whether people like it or not gay relationships do exist. I don't see an issue with it.

⁠Agreed. It's just an OPTION. If they really wanted to "push" same-sex relationships, they'd not give you heterosexual options at all. Also, I don't believe any of the couples in the game are gay, (because they weren't in the original, but who cares either way?) so what's your deal? I choose to play as a straight female character, as I am, but I won't disparage the choices of others. I played the original Wonderful Life back in high school where I could only be a boy. That didn't suddenly make me want to be a boy who married girls just because my character was one ...
