Latest images from the mission Mars 2020. This new panorama was captured by Mastcam-Z right-eye 110-mm telephoto zoom lens and this mosaic stitched together from 79 individual images is camera's first high-resolution pano taken on Mars. The main panorama image is from the afternoon of Sol 4.
Your feedback is very much appreciated.

Here is a Full 360 Panorama Enhanced Video with all three parts stitched together. I've listened to your feedback and made some improvements such as: higher framerate for smoother experience, added imperial units for many of you, added some new facts, time extension for longer observation, bigger font easier to read, etc.. Enjoy

@@maybe4500 On Earth we know that an asteroid even if it disintegrates, can make a shock wave that strikes the ground, crushing whatever is on the surface to fine debris. A larger asteroid can break apart and some fragments can reach the ground. A large asteroid can cause an impact crater on the ground. A meteorite can break up into thousands of pieces with the largest ones at the front of the impact and smaller ones behind it and this impact zone can be in the shape of an oval on the ground.

@@maybe4500 No, each crash into Mars would cover a limited area, but over time, there could have been many of them.I don't know exactly how they are different from Earth rocks. Many are covered up by Mars dust and many have been in landslides from the sides of craters. I'm sure we will find out more. They are doing their best with the colors, but if we were there looking at them, the colors could be a little different.

This really gives us the perception of how distance of landscape can be misjudged by our eyes in other celestial bodies. As we are habituated of seeing distant landscapes with trees, buildings and sky, we can understand how far a mountain is. But on mars its totally unprecedented! 10:58 This one shocked me the most!

Bro, not just only mars images, during apollo missions too, look for apollo 17 vids. The mountains in background are too far away from them but it looks so close. Even when the Chinese landers landed on the moon, the landing vids appear as if the surface is near but actually it keeps on gets closer and closer coz you cant perceive the depth on moon as there's no atmosphere and surface features like earth.

Geeee Rado. Can't walk away from your stitched videos. The Rovers need to be outfitted with 3-d cameras to differentiate distance. I think you do a decent job on your measurements though. Amazing how Mar's thinner atmosphere makes it difficult to judge distant terrain. Distance fading however does occur I've noticed, but it is possible that fade distance could be longer?

Thank you "frames from space" for your nice video! There are much more interesting places on Mars as we have seen until now from the Curiosity- and Perseverance Rovers... Maybe NASA and ESA aren't too keen on releasing these locations at this time? To date, nothing has been published about a civilization that lived on Mars about 2000 million years ago (and was later wiped out by severe natural disasters). This old civilisation came pretty close to our humanity here on Earth. If you take a closer look at the well-preserved remains of these ancient dwellings in settlements or villages - made of high quality stone caves, in all possible sizes and forms (many piramid-like constructions, too) or the centrally located meeting, buisiness and culture locations (excellent visible thanks to Google Earth Pro and additional magnification tools), so you are able to make in a simple way your own conclusions and research. Normally the persistent erosion and extremly long period of time doesn´t help much to realise an accurate reconstruction, but in these areas, prolonged ice ages with ice sheets and sometimes glaciers have helped in the past to preserve partly these locations, which you can find in the northern lowlands of Mars. Sources: Deuteronilus Colle and surroundings or also Cydonia Mensae and Galaxia Chaos and respective surroundings.

Mars and Earth are very different planets in terms of temperature, size, and atmosphere, but the geological processes on the two planets are surprisingly similar. On Mars we see volcanoes, canyons, and impact basins similar to those we see on Earth. Geologically, Mars didn't look that dead. Previously, Mars lander were sent to flat terrain with few hazards, which was necessary due to their lower targeting accuracy. The scientific goals of Curiosity include studying the climate and geology, as well as assessing the habitability of past and present Martian environments. However, it does not carry a specific tool for the detection of life expectancy. So far, scientists had not been able to develop a simple instrument that could distinguish living from non-living materials on Mars. The rusty world is full of secrets - and is one of the most extreme geologies in the solar system. The planet’s rusty red surface tells a story of destruction. Mars as a dynamic, wind-blown landscape that - just maybe - could harbor microbial life beneath its rusty surface with lots of live rocks on the surface. With a radius of 2,106 miles, Mars is the seventh largest planet in our solar system and about half the diameter of Earth. Its surface gravity is 37.5 percent of Earth’s.
