I wouldn’t dare sign to Dr. Dre and Aftermath. He finally decided to put this woman’s album out after being with him for 20 years. Now she’s out of her prime years, she’s been doing songs here and there for years, and now no one is checking for her. When her album drop, it will have about 10,000 streams. Then Dr. Dre will drop her from the label. He probably has over 100 songs with her and never released any of it. Thank God she kept herself up over the years and is still beautiful and healthy that she can make music videos. Just imagine after all these years she had babies and got out of shape. You think Dr. Dre would work with her and put her album out? Hell No he wouldn’t. Dr. Dre has destroyed so many artists dreams and careers. He wasted so much of their time. TIME is so important in the music industry. You really have just 1 shot to make it, and timing is the most important thing

“I didn’t want to do a project. I’ve checked off my bucket list, everything that I’ve wanted to do. And Dre said, ‘I just want to keep you inspired. Let’s just create and see where this goes.’” - Marsha on the making of Casablanco during the Covid lockdown Not saying I disagree with the points you made, especially about time and how much that factors into the trajectory and momentum of an Artist in the music industry.
