I appreciate the time you took for them. It appears in part 1 the BOSE speaker was in your bottom tier. Although it is a different one on this video, I didn't expect the turnaround :) Great work! I am the patient type who does his research for everything. Just spent a whole day researching power bank, chargers and now Bluetooth speakers. Merci!!:)

I own the Bose Flex and was really amazed by how much spacious sound comes out of that little package. It was actually too bass heavy for my taste but the EQ can tame that down. But you've got me wanting to pick up an Emberton.

JBL always going to lean bass heavy. With BT speakers, and speakers in general more bass makes the speaker seem better unless it washes out the rest of the sound.

i have the original bose mini soundlink II and the Emberton. they are both amazing in their own ways. the bose is omnidirectional and sounds amazing but only where you point it and the emberton is 306° emersive. both hold up in 2022

I also bought the Emberton speaker. I was not a fan of music but had some money and thought of purchasing one speaker I was listening to JBL flip 5 but the other guy played Emberton and was like i want that one. And now after watching you video i know I was right

I was brought up in the village of Emberton which is the place which gave its name to the speaker. Apparently the village was a special place for Jim Marshall.

@@DannyPops I'm glad you liked my comment. The other speakers in the range are also named after places linked to Jim. Willen is a part of Milton Keynes where the Marshall factory is, with Jim donating money to the hospice which is located there. Stockwell and Kilburn are both parts of London which is where Jim was born and started his business.

I just wish the emberton II had a way to connect a carabiner-- For a travel speaker-- may have to choose the Bose flex or even the Marshall Willen!

Hi Danny - Do you have a list or video about the best longevity? Audio quality not changing or dead batteries after years of use.. Also, maybe you can have a list of speakers on which genre's they are best listened to? On your reviews, you have better treble, or something. Maybe that speaker will be best to a certain genre. Just some ideas that can help people decide. Thanks for your videos! Very helpful.

Flip can be connected with another flip for wide spacious stereo which the the Emberrton supposedly can't do .. Personally I would not buy a speaker that can't be paired period !Stereo pairing is the way to go to get nice superior sound plus you can pair up to 100 together so the flip should be the winner ..

I know this is probably beating a dead horse here but in regards to your reviews of the Bose speakers, I have to say the Bose color 2 may not be as dynamic or “new” as the Bose Flex or other products you’ve reviewed, the Color 2 in my opinion shows significant merit in Durability. I’ve had mine since 2017, and it is used at work 5 days/week on a forklift anywhere from 8 to 16 hours per day in conjunction with a 6AH Milwaukee battery and shows no wear whatsoever. I was surprised how boring you felt it sounded as you have reviewed so many. When I bring my Color 2 out for get-togethers on the weekends I always get interested complimentary praise on how nice it sounds. The only maintenance I’ve had to do to it was clean the USB port with WD-40. The thing won’t die-lol Anyway although I’m thinking of getting another Bose color 2 for linked stereo, however, your review of the Bose Flex has got me thinking of taking a chance in a different direction. Thanks for the review, great content.

I'll pick the wonderboom 2 over the enmberton because of major stereo seperation in the emberton not much a difference between stereo and mono so I'd pick the wonderboom 2

I liked this video with all these speakers so cool your spot on I love the design of the SONY XB23 but can’t get great sound out of it the flex is awesome the color II IS BORING I TNINK THE COLOR 1 was better but the flex hands down the Marshall is great as well the Wonderboom 2 it’s nice but needs more bass for my liking superb video fun to watch you have a great mic sounds great through my Emberton.

Hello there, I liked the way you ranged the speakers. One question, can you illustrate the point that the Bose is quite newer as compared to Emberton and could that be the reason for opting Bose over it keeping in mind the age of the battery inside Emberton? Of course I’m using Bose Soundlink mini as a portable speaker now and I like the sound a lot.

This is interesting since the sonos has rated higher on sound quality than the JBL flip 6 and much higher than the UE on other youtube channels. I guess I'll have to listen to it in person to judge for myself.

My Emberton I sounds excellent. I also think that squared shapes are better for placement on even surfaces like the top of my Lasko tower fan. The JBL would roll off.
