The Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park is located in Coloma, California. This is a historic spot where James Marshall was credited as the first person who discovered Gold in California. As a result, the gold rush began and hundreds of thousands of people flocked to California. The Discovery Park has so many things to see and do while visiting, they have done a wonderful job preserving artifacts and all docents are very well educated.
