I like it lot because it's not one of these superfast KZfaq show offs. Very tasteful and on the point, perfect!

I hate numbers too.. I'm more into functions and the procedures that operate on them..(integration and differentiation)

true about that!

it is very cool to hear someone play some a pick-style classical piece that is (very far) out of the normal "yngwie shredder guy with scalloped stratocaster in bedroom" reportoire. (I.e.- the same 3 paganini pieces/the same 3 bach pieces/the 1 mozart thing and the dreaded pachelbel thing.) what a great choice this is! awesome job.

Man, that's insanity

@partlyshady Why are you skeptical about him sightreading a piece like these? Although, there aren't many guitarist who sightread in the world right now. There were those who could sightread anything that was put in front of them. That mean anything from easy to something hard like this piece.

For everyone suspicious about this being real; or suspicious about it because of the piano sounds: you can hear the piano because he's playing the piano with his toes, it's just not being filmed. It's also a standard 6 string guitar that's had a 7th string fitted. Now fuck off. (I've been a fan for 13 years and pop back frequently, thank you very much for your work Marshall)

Probably not. The pinky is almost never used when finger picking is involved.
@lolwtfbbq11113 жыл бұрын
@lauriemonk Is he using just his middle and ring fingers or is his pinky in on the action?
@Archetype316 жыл бұрын
That is really be a genius playing guitar.

this is really cool...you should cover some jason becker and do some lessons on his style and like the serrania arpeggios you should should be able to do it no problem

Jason Becker is great but this is better. No offense to Jason at all... Alkan was respected highly by Chopin AND Liszt and besides those two was the greatest pianist in the world.

Marshall live streams very often on his channel, I've seen him make the works of Jason Becker look absolutely effortless. With respect to Jason and other amazing guitarists like Holdsworth or Lane, I'd argue pieces like this or pieces of a similar style by Wieniawski etc.. are probably the hardest thing to play on guitar. Whether Marshall would agree i'm not sure

If you practice a piece a lot for a long time, It becomes muscle Memory.
