@@garyraffa5515 Hey. You've got this. I cannot BELIEVE I am saying this (I can never show my husband this🤫), but do or do not, there is no try. Did I say that right? That's what Yoda said, right? Don't come for me, people, okay??? I hope that made you smile, at least. I may be a dork, but I a dork that's in your corner - and I know that I'm not the only one, my friend. I will be thinking of you and everyone else (and for myself as well...loving ourselves is the hardest part. I fucking suck at it. Can't stand to look in the mirror. I keep myself awake at night thinking about the shit I've done...I promise you - I'm here). We can stumble, we can trip, we can fall, just as long as we don't give up. At least that's what I tell myself. It's so hard on the bad days, let alone the days I can barely function with my husband and kids. If life were easy we wouldn't be getting great songs like this to unite us. I don't feel like I'm saying what I'm trying to say. Just...if we are all here commenting on this page about this stuff, not just this thread, we have a common bond. And it comes from a place of love. Hate - those that enable us or don't believe in us or give up on us or tear us down - makes you ugly and nobody likes ugly people. Beauty comes from within. WE are beautiful. I'm still not saying it how I want. I'm in your corner, okay? Sitting right there with you and the others who want to sit yet walking right there with others who want to walk. I started listening to Relapse again and it hit harder than ever. He helped me get clean again. I'm clean from them now, but will I let them go forever? I don't think so, but I will never abuse them again. I work out, I eat healthy etc. I think it's okay if you take them sometimes. It's accepted that people drink alcohol, I just don't drink. I get super depressed of alcohol. I still want to get a buzz sometimes and keep my mind off things. Just keep your usage in check and don't make it your life.

If you want to expand on this song - create a playlist and put these songs in this order: Castle (Revival) Mr. Mathers (Relapse) Deja Vu (Relapse) Arose (Revival) These songs together tell a coherent story from his overdose in the bathroom (Castle ends with him collapsing), the paramedics picking him up (Mr. Mathers) then a flashback to the drug addiction that lead to said overdose (Deja Vu) then finally to his recovery/epiphany in the hospital (Arose). Man, and what’s so crazy is that a huge part of his fan base was experiencing these same kind of things with him... I’m ashamed to say sometimes that I’m still on the ride.

Em's bars are his mental health therapy sessions, getting to his most painful core, and sharing for others who may be going through similar feelings, but can't afford a therapist.

great reaction. i had same drug problems after lost closest person in my life and spiraled out in drugs and so this song so relatable for me and others cuz when i lost my brother i did same thing EM did when proof died, IT"S SO HARD TO SLEEP CUZ IDENTIFYING your best friend in world in morgue is something you will never get out your head...but this song helped get back up...but pain don't leave still
