@@MyAnno1404 I know right it isn't suitable or any matter of convenient to dare to say something like that, it's almost an insult! Every pianist has his own unique personality, way of playing and style of composing, so it's prejudice to judge a composer just by the "difficultly" of the compositions instead of quality and soul reflection (although Chopin is no way near easy, he can be more difficult than liszt in terms of interpretation rather than technique!) I respect all composers, but disrespect the judges based on shallow perspectives.

Pour ce qui concerne Martha Argerich, elle est issue d'un milieu bourgeois, certes, mais pas "grand bourgeois", comme l'écrit Olivier Bellamy dans sa biographie. Quartier de Palermo, à Buenos Aires, elle émigre à l'âge de13 ans en Autriche, grâce à l'appui de Juan Peron que sa mère, qui n'avait peur de rien, était venu trouver pour lui demander des facilités d'installation (notamment des emplois à l'ambassade d'Argentine en Autriche), pour étudier auprès de Friedrich Gulda. Proust évoque dans la recherche du temps perdu une grande pianiste, dont le statut particulier lui permet d'être en quelque sorte "hors classe", et de fréquenter les cercles les plus privilégiés en y étant acceptée avec une sorte "d'immunité". Chopin fréquentait les mêmes cercles, mais selon le témoignage de proches, étant lui-même très lucide sur sa position il restait d'une habile réserve qui lui permettait de se comporter avec le plus parfait naturel. Quant à l'attitude de Martha Argerich et Charles Dutoit, c'est vrai qu'il y a une sorte d'arrogance, qui est plutôt selon moi à mettre sur le compte de la jeunesse et du manque de maturité se trouvant tout d'un coup à devoir surjouer le rôle glamour que l'on attend d'eux dans les habits un peu larges d'un succès si immédiat et précoce.

Oui, je pense qu'elle n'a jamais aimé l'attention qu'on lui porte en général. Dans une interview issue du documentaire de G. Gachot ("evening talks") elle a d'ailleurs dit qu'elle avait cessé de donner des récitals parce que seule sur scène elle se sentait sous les projecteurs observée "comme un insecte". Et dans le film réalisé par sa fille, elle dit quelque chose comme "je ne suis pas une personne pour laquelle j'ai beaucoup d'importance".

Je ne trouve aucune arrogance chez Martha par contre CD......

Non là vous plaisantez ! Au contraire, j'adorerais les avoir à dîner, les questionner et les écouter parler. Leur vie est passionnante et si enrichissante. Et puis en quoi serzient ils arrogants ? Ils vous laissent entrer chez eux et échangent , partagent en toute simplicité. C'est exceptionnel au contraire !

Votre observation est tres "francaise": moi tout au contraire je suis derangé par l'aisance et la facilité des francaises d'expliquer tout: pour cela le cinema de Truffaut est nait en France, mais un Tarkovski francais est impossible. Moi je garde cette atitude de Argerich qqchose de metaphysique, une discretion et une superficialité desitné a ne pas nuire à l'essentiel et au mistère.

Moi cest ce qui me la rends irrésistible! L'insoutenable légèreté de l'etre......et le pire ou le meilleur cest que pres de 50 ans plus tard elle est toujours comme ca!
