My son and his wife went to Disney World a couple months ago. They ate at Chef Morimotos's place. My son just happened to wear his shirt that says "Sign my Shirt" When they walked in the waiter told him it was his lucky day. My son said Whys that? He said the chef was there and would want to sign it. He got to meet him and the chef signed one on my son's PI-YAHHHHH caps for me. He even tried calling me so I could talk to him. I used to love Iron Chef. Last month they went to Vegas and he met Giada De Larentis and took pictures with her too. As far as the food Martha and Emeril are both from up north, but Emeril lived in the Big Easy for a long time. Seafood rocks in Louisiana. Great video.

The original Japanese Iron Chef was the first cooking show I ever watched. Such a fun and crazy over the top show. I like the idea for the restaurant vs restaurant battle. I would watch other versions of this for sure.

Thanks for a great video. I was surprised The Bedford (I didn't check the other restaurant) didn't charge you for splitting / sharing dishes, yet gave you dishes & flatware to easily do so. That's nice. It's a practice I don't enjoy.

Great comparison! I would definitely be all over the Emeril crab cake. I love lobster so much, so was sad not to see any in Emeril's dish, but it still looked like a better value overall for sure.

I would definitely check out Emeril's. Never a huge Martha Stewart fan. Delmonico's is one of my favorite Steakhouses and there's one in The Venetian

Hey you guys, I like the format of this. What you say about the crab cakes at Emeril's is enlightening. I normally don't like crab cakes because they might be too much filler for me. Have to go there and try it.

I felt much the same. Martha Stewart's place felt like one you would go to only to impress someone. Where as Emeril's was more laid back. I'm also a fan of the more flavor forward dishes of Emeril's place. Only thing they might improve on with Emeril is the crab cake as I did like the crust on the version from Martha Stewart's.

The crabcake plate at Emerils looked like they threw the cake and dressing on the oblong plate from about 5 feet away. At least it looked full of crab.

I’ve eaten at Emeril’s twice and not at Martha’s. That said I knew it was going to a “slaughter.” Emeril is all about flavor and that extra BAM! Martha comes off as stuffy. Not a place I’d choose. I’m sure it’s good but that crab cake didn’t look like one from a fine seafood restaurant and it wasn’t. I mean, Martha you’re charging $100 for GD chicken, put some damn bread on the table. And I mean, cornbread, yummy! There’s a reason Emeril’s has been there since the Grand opened in the 90’s. The second time we ate there it was a crazy experience. The head chef was having a very loud hissy fit that everyone could hear in the dining room. That’s a big room. Our waiter came over and apologized and said dessert for all of us (4) was on him. Yes GET the Banana Cream Pie! OMG! We actually only got two desserts and split them as we were already stuffed. As you can see the portions are not skimpy. The waiter saved the day and we tipped him well. It was kinda fun experiencing a high end chef melt down. LOL

I agree with your opinion Martha's crabcake looked terrible. I'm from Maryland so Emeril's crabcake looked like what I prefer. I'd definitely like you to go back and try some more dishes, especially the banana cream pie.

Wish yall could try my Boursin Jumbo Lump crab cake. It's mostly crab and definitely not all that bread crumb filler. Of course if I made you one that size it would be around $90 with how much crab I use. When you said it was $32 and I seen the size before you cut it I was thinking there wasn't going to be much crab inside

I agree, Emerils looked a lot more satisfying & comfortable. Martha seems to be a little more High-Brow & expensive than she needs to be.. And I know these places are Celebrity Chef Spots in Vegas, but the value is at Emerils. Bottom Line , give the people Great food at a Reasonable price, they will be back time & time again. It doesn't have to be over the top expensive, even for Vegas. Don't Rip people off.
