My plan is to be both of them. I already work out but now I am starting to learn to fight from this guy and other guys. I feel the combination of muscle for strong hits and then knowing how to use the strong hits would be a deadly combination.
@DrBased12325 күн бұрын
It's near impossible to maintain though. If you want to get good at martial arts then you pretty much need a minimum of 2 sessions a week average. On top of the fact that if you want to do a a striking and a grappling art then that would be 4 sessions a week. That doesn't leave much space for the gym, and even then you'll be burning so many calories that gaining muscle will be a very tough task. Then there's also the soreness and overall wear and tear that your body will go through to keep all that up. It's not impossible, but extremely difficult. If anything I'd say do martial arts when you're younger then when you're older quit before it destroys your body and focus on the gym.

Remember kids, if you wanna be a good fighter train in actual fighting. Natural muscles are functional only if you know how to properly use them. And that applies to every sport or discipline
@alantheadventurer95522 ай бұрын
The best advice for big/muscular gymbros is to short the distance & grapple. Sure you might not have the technique but the raw strength should help you out in take downs &/or pin downs too + the sheer size of your body/muscles (if you are large) would make it difficult for opponent to grapple back. Also being weary of elbows & neck chokes, I kid you those are the most unexpected & dangerous in a grapple!
@hwanniggles1872 ай бұрын
That only helps when fighting other inexperienced fighters. A real fight is going to expect the gym bro to try to grapple and counter it. It also leaves a clean hit to the chin wide open
@alantheadventurer95522 ай бұрын
@@hwanniggles187 well yeah you are right, but that if they didn’t stuck their chin out, if the chin would be in then their head would be more exposed but as you said in a “real fight” the big one would go mad with adrenaline & if you are nimble & fast enough to not get grabbed, picked up & thrown to concrete. Plus even if he would be predictable in his striking like for example just doing haymakers, yes he would be easier to counter & read his moves but one/two hits from a guy who easily pick up 100kg will hurt & can injure you or even knock you out. (Especially if he has weight & height advantage) Edit: Just wanted to say I don’t want to argue with you, I don’t want to argue with a stranger. I just want to share I’m thoughts and opinions in a subject, if you are hurt with what I said I am sorry.
@Notion132 ай бұрын
@@alantheadventurer9552well force=mass times acceleration and most big guys don't punch that fast
@alantheadventurer95522 ай бұрын
@@Notion13 yea you are correct, most untrained big guy would be too pumped or sluggish to punch fast enough to hurt someone trained, though I do bet they would definitely push someone backwards cause of their strength. But same can go to a skinny person, sure you are fast in punching perhaps but if you don’t have a strength behind it, it won’t make a difference. But if you are big/strong & know how to punch or whine up a punch, you will have a bad time! However, we are talking about untrained gymbros & that’s why I mentioned for them would be best grappling because they could use their superior strength more effectively.
