Overgrowth is an action video game, the story takes place on the island of Lugaru, an unknown number of years after the fall of the human race, indicated by the ruins of tall man-made structures overrun by vegetation. Lugaru is a chaotic world, inhabited by anthropomorphic rabbits, wolves, rats, cats and dogs living at a pre-industrial level of technology.

My reaction seeing the preview "Oh wow Overgrowth! I can't wait to see this get some love" My reaction watching the game being played "You could not have picked a worse person to play this." Seriously, there's some incredibly cool bits in this game and the fighting is fantastic (especially considering it's all reactively generated, not animated).

Whoever was playing was a complete fool! I honestly can't believe they allowed that to be the gameplay shown, they have to be truly incompetent to show this as their gameplay to "Martial Artists" like hes using a weapon more than not, and for some reason stabbing dead bodies over and over again. Terrible presentation.

Martial Arts fighting system? U sure? Pretty Sure the only moves you can do are roundhouse Kicks from both sides, something Along the lines of a jab (i think has been a while), that counter-judo-throw and of course the dropkick. I dont remember much of a "fighting system" it was more along the lines of spam

There are thousands of martial arts centered on the focus of weaponry. If you're upset because their was less unarmed combat, sure, but other wise it's not that big of a deal.

it's always the same issue... the guy knows two moves and spends 90% of the game playing with the corpses, it's like they search for bad videos on purpose.... at least make sure the guy played more than 5 minutes the game.

Overgrowth has the best animations imo They're not perfect and they're stiff but they are soooo dynamic and active. It feels like the character is never making the same move twice.

Animorphs is such a good story! When I read a few books as a kid, I just thought it was just a cool story about kids turning into animals. But when i read it as an adult, I was really surprised about the adult themes in the book, especially towards the end. The depiction of war and it's effects on children is done very well. Such a good series. Would recommend to everyone.

I'm not saying people still aren't bothered by it, this is influenced by experience and personality, but by and large people are able to detach from these things more than actual humanoids

I to read Animorphs and Goosebumps, some of the latter I have because I forgot to return them. When reading, I created like this image of an underground pool with a walkway between two bodies of water, and a lounge area nearby for the willing victims of the space slugs. If I remember correctly, they entered the head through the ear, and assumed command of the brain. When I read it, it was fascinating, but now I am like, if they enter through the ear, don't they essentially become deaf on that side?

It's clearly not furry aesthetic tho, it's more like a practical asset, to justify their 5 meters jumps and powerfull kicks, i've been playing this game for 5 years now, it's still really adictive to me. I think it's a good investement. Especially for damn furries.

On he subject of the game though, I’ve never heard of it and have no idea what it’s about. Sure the graphics aren’t great, but the animation is awesome! Is the atmosphere any good?

I think that's either Lugaru or Overgrowth, made by the same studio. It's an open source game as well, which was a very cool thing for them to do.

He said tell them what happened? Bet, I got you - the bunnies in the red come to a peaceful village and start taking crops. Eventually they end up taking bunnies as slaves, from what we’re told at the beginning it started around the time you get there. So, the bunny you play as, goes out to handle said bunnies by any means necessary. That’s about as much as I can say without spoiling the game. It’s pretty fun and definitely worth a play!
