Sifu Al Dacascos is one of the most celebrated pioneers in the martial arts. In fact, to this day, he received more votes than any other martial artist to be inducted in the Martial Arts History Museum's HALL OF FAME. Dacascos literally stepped into history by stepping onto the tournament floor. When there was a sea of karate uniforms, he was the first kung fu practitioner to successfully compete. Not just in forms, not just in weapons, but fighting as well. Sifu Al created a new path for the world to follow. This is our first in our Museum Hall of Fame Series. We hope you enjoy it.

This is Mark Dacascos' father 😀? I never heard of him before his famous son! Sifu Dacasco was 1 of those martial arts masters who were not heard of but , was extremely good & well respected deep in the martial arts world

He used to appear in the martial arts magazines way back when during the 80's. His son Mark became popular during the 90's and 2000's.

Tammy, I went to your wedding with Sifu Al at the church in downtown Portland. Studied under him at his Raleigh Hills location back in the late 80's. Still remember his dark grey Mitsubishi parked out front. I was in Hawaii on vacation with my wife in 2011 and I called him up. We had lunch. It was great to see him. Much respect.

Al and his wife were both forces to be Reckon with back in the day I also recall a student of his name ERIC LEE who dominated forms competition with Kung fu during that era.

Glad to have had the opportunity to be raised in the Dacascos school community. Wish I would've paid more attention but my life is Budokai now and it is BECAUSE of their influence on me and my Dad.

Kajukenbo is NOT kungfu Ka-karate Ju-judo Ken-kenpo Bo-Boxing

Correction the Kung Fu also included in Kajukenbo system because Sijo Emperado and other one of five founders of this system who are also studied Kung Fu.

There are 4 officially recognized styles with the Kajukenbo System, 3 of which which are heavily based in CMA: 1. Kajukenbo - Kenpo 2. Kajukenbo - Tum Pai 3. Kajukenbo - Chuan Fa 4. Kajukenbo - Wun Hop Kuen Do
