Hey, so I was red belt in ea sports ufc 1 and high div 6 in ea ufc 2 when that was weird, I have been matched up against HOLLYMOLLY rank 1 player and a few others and defeated players in top 5. I am a submission specialist. Submissions suck, really no better way to tell you. You have to have a huge stamina difference for them to work (you should have about a 4-1 advantage). 2 mistakes I see you making are 1. let them transition after the arm trap, it burns their stamina like nothing else and gives you time to build yours and 2. if one sub gate is close to letting them out, but the rest not so much, hold the one that could let them out, they might not have time to break free from your sub before your left stick prompt. Other tips are, your subs start from your feet, clinch after you block a few shots when your stamina is higher you can get unexpected subs from a gassing clinch. Building off the last tip, be like Gaethje, press forward, keep pressure high, they will strike your guard giving you openings as well as it can set up cage usage. I highly recommend a strong clinch and grnd&pnd. wrestling transitions are dope, crucifix rocks, the can opener exists too, never seen anyone else do it but in ufc 2 the command was to use L1 to try to stand up and just before you do, release L1 and continue the transition to get to stacked guard, it is a very strong and quick way to build an advantage in your opponents guard and an easy transition to get to side control (don't forget you can grnd and pnd there too)

Funny story: so I saw Robert Whitaker’s new personality, especially the post-fight celebration where he touches the Australian flag tattoo on his left pec while he’s sitting on the cage. My custom fighter Chris Iron (I like having the nickname be the fighter’s actual name) has the Whitaker personality, except I put an elaborate tattoo on his left pec that’s in memoriam. It says “Luke” and has the dog tags incorporated into it, and in my head canon, Luke was Chris’s older brother who was killed in Afghanistan. Chris got the tattoo in his memory, and he resonates with it as he fights. It’s like his source of strength. :) Also, since he’s a grappler, I put the Olympic Rings and “2016” on his right shoulder as well as a very small stylized BJJ black belt on his right ankle (a tattoo that I want when I get my black belt in real life someday). So essentially I created an entire backstory for my character...

Glad you took the challenge of a submission specialist. Will be fun watching you struggle and improve as game goes on. Try for the subs when they are rocked/tired. There are some subs that start off on later levels like level 3 inbetween transitions. Been getting some surprise subs against real players from this. Don't worry you'll get there in time!!
@adw82896 жыл бұрын
Don worry, man, strike them down until you get your membership in BJJ gym, get some level 5 chokes and perks and then you ll see.

The best way to play the mini game is just not to over think it and just try and be one step ahead and eventually your reaction time will get better. Also it's not like striking, don't be relaxed during the mini game be quick and sparratic
@remifjelldal72996 жыл бұрын
Keep doing you striking as well man. Don't only go submissions, be balanced but not a striker. Love to see you get 12 subs and 12 ko's. Play smart man. You're the best ufc "fighter" on YT. Other peoples career mode campaigns are not on the high level skill wise. this is actually fun to see. Not only spamming power strikes are maxing out power to get a KO win with low stamina.. Can't wait for the rest man!

Appreciate this upload! I've been hesitant on deciding if I wanted to go ahead and buy this game or not since I've heard the ground game is lackluster, and I decided if Martial Mind can't get things going on the ground, then I'll probably pass. That said, it looked like I was going to pass from the first two fights, but when you got the sub in the 3rd, I actually cheered a bit, haha Hope submissions get easier as your stats improve! It would bum me out if you kept playing a style you hated, but hopefully you might come to enjoy it. I'll be watching!

Dude, bottomline I love the character and am loving the playthrough. What I'll advise is: Don't feel locked into having to use her as a sole submission specialist; was actually going to suggest you go for an all rounder to avoid frustration. Try playing her freely. As in, try for your ground game & submissions when you can for the practice, but if you can't get it, don't feel forced to keep trying. Hope that helps
