Great city ,nice view nice people. I like Netherland than other countries , I wish I could go there and stay live there ,Rotterdam ,The Haque or Amsterdam. Long long time ago I had a friend in Amsterdam ,her name is Erna C Roosendaal . Thanks 🙏

Scheveningen is den haag . Als je geld wilt besparen ga dan naar den haag alles is goedkoop daar behalve op Scheveningen

I lived in Scheveningen in 1979 to 1980.... I wonder how much of Fredrik Hendriklaan I would recognize today? Does the number 10 tram still go there?

It’s tram 16 now but mostly the same route. They have refurbished most parts of the Frederik Hendriklaan, it’s even more beautiful now.

I was living in The Hague for a short time. My nanny and I were returning from a walk, the wind suddenly picked up, I was pushing a stroller with my 7 month old twins. It was scary, one of us had to actually put our body on the stroller to keep it down. Just than some dignitary was coming on the Main Street. The asshole cops were shouting at us to clear the road. It wasn’t even the road this dumb dignitary was going to be on. We struggled to get across with my nanny desperately holding down the pram and I pushing it as fast as we could. That’s how ridiculous these people are!!!

What does “Den” in “Den Haag” stand for? Is it Dutch for the city or it’s just a part of the name of the city without separate meaning? Why the rest of the world doesn’t say this “Den” when they refer to Den Haag? Why we say The Hague?????

Yes that’s what we call it.. Den Haag and it comes from the name: 's-Gravenhage. Let’s say The Hague ;-)
