Real good video! I played this at a store today and blew my mind the tone playability and warmth. Sparkly and very resonant. Even the $3000 Martins i played dont sound and play as nice as this one. Found this used but mint brand new $999. The elasticity of strings was so easy to play and the action, i thought it was way under pitch out of tune, but was spot on standard tuned.

I've only played 2 Martin's in my life that I really enjoyed. The one you're playing and a 6000$ custom made one. Great vid. Will be adding the road series to my collection

I bought a D-13e just three weeks ago at my local music shop in Mesa, Arizona. It was a step up from the Seagull Entourage I bought as my first guitar 2 years ago. I played a variety of Taylors and Martins, and settled on the D-13e because it seems so balanced and clear. Really easy to play. I consider it a great value for the price. The only downside is that my Seagull is sitting in a gig bag right now, abandoned in favor of the Martin. :-)

@@jefferyclark351 I believe the back and sides are Ziricote. The back has a really dramatic grain pattern.

The 13e Ziricote is laminated back and sides while the 13e Siri’s is all solid wood . Both sound great but the Siri’s is a warmer sound .

Martin is my favorite acoustic by far. Good review and fabulous playing as always. Only nitpick I have is why does Martin use a gig bag at this price point? You would think all their guitars would get a hard case? Cheers!

What gauge strings do you use? I don't like heavy strings. I used a set of 9 from a 12 string set. I liked the brighter highs of the small strings, now I put on 10 and I don't like the heavier bottom, so I put the other to bottom strings back on. But the 10 small strings not as bright as the 9 were. I'm thinking I'm going to have to use my own custom set and buy individual strings.i want playability.

Beautiful playing! I can tell the guitar sounds nice... It's really hard to really know what an acoustic guitar sounds like with any processing on it. Some of it seemed to have very little processing..... Even a space recorded in... It definitely doesn't sound like a rosewood or a mahogany guitar.... Pretty guitar..I have no idea what those tone woods sound like. The pickups are very vanilla piezo.....kind of an after thought in this guitar.... Yeah....I don't like them.... Would definitely just mic the guitar if possible with those... Their really bad. It's a very friendly sounding guitar. Mellow....Very clean.... Not a ton of overtones.... But beautiful. Thanks for the video.

The other guitar is the male of the two. Much warmer sound from the Siri’s all solid wood .

Forgot to say ! The Martin 13e -1 Ziricote is by far the better sounding instrument of these two after trying out my grandsons two Christmas presents for the last two week’s
