I imagine Peter Jackson called Steven Moffat and asked for help. They know each other from Tintin, which Peter co-directed and Steven wrote.

Just goes to show that Peter Jackson has excellent taste and knows what he's doing.

Peter do know exactly how to get it done right 👍🏻 And I can't get over how young and adorable Martin looks 😂

I must sound like a broken record Martin Freeman playing Bilbo the very best in both Trilogies. I've lost count of the number of times we've watched the Trilogies. When am depressed I watch it and things are right with the world again. I love the Hobbit trilogy and The LOTR BUT MARTIN FREEMAN is Tops.

Am I the only one who thinks Martin was too contemporary for Bilbo ? Something about his mannerisms felt off to me.

Didn’t like Martin as Bilbo. He was bland and boring. He didn’t have the presence Ian had. Martin is himself in every role he plays.

I found Martinn overall alright in the the role of Bilbao though i would prefer different actor cause i found Martinn not strong enough to lead in this movie.

Martin was amazing in Bilbo's role
