I think we're all a little hurt. Some people just don't understand when you see somebody on TV for that long it's almost like you knew them and grew up together & then when they die it feels almost like the death of a loved one. it's so sad he died it just 52 years old but he left us with a lot of great memories.

FUN FACT - Tommy Ford had wanted to be a clergyman/minister growing up, prior to him giving acting a try and excelled at it. During rehearsals & things the cast would joke about tommys job not being real so the producers took that & added into the storyline . "Tommy has no Job" There is an episode where the boss of his job comes over to Martins & they met her .

Martin had the kind of ensemble that was perfect in every way. With most shows you get one really funny character or maybe even two but with Martin EVERYBODY was funny as hell and contributed so much. Tommy's contribution only enhanced that greatness. This cast Is up there with Sanford and Son, All In The Family, Married with Children, The Andy Griffith Show etc.

The 90s was the absolute best decade for Black television (And clothing, might I add). Martin, living single, cosby show, a different world. I was in my 20s; finishing up college, married, first child in '98 ---- a great time of life😊

Kids, be respectful of the deceased. It is not a joke. Thank you Mr. Ford for the incredible work you did on the show and making us laugh. Always played a good example of a stand-up man.
