so i know this comment was 10 yrs ago but im amazed she didnt get mad awards because when i think country music voices i think of her. carrie underwood admitted during her AI audition that she modeled her voice off of martina mcbride and her voice is so much like hers. I just think martina is the quintessential country voice. in country music (imo) ur either a martina or a leanne womack. both are great but one is strong and guttural and the other is angelic and vibrato

@@9420421 I know that her dad is Daryl Shiff. He is the chairman of the Wilmore Opry, in Comanche, KS. Every penny made there goes to local charities. And Daryl Shiff is a class act, just like her daughter, Marina Mcbride. He of course is not Elvis. No one could be another Elvis. His voice was too talented, with the range to sing everything from gospel to rock to love songs.
