@@CrisGarcia6 i did check the updates, but her phone has been aborting an update to a newer version of One UI 5 (Android 13) for months and she cant update her phone if she has some important things to do and there is already an older update downloaded waiting to be installed so she cant update to One UI 6 (android 14) until she doesn't have any important things to do and the patch update is applied

@@sebysebyt12 moms phone is an unlocked variant without any of that "t-mobile" bloatware. mom won't have One UI 6 until the phone has the one ui 5 patch installed if she doesn't want to plug her phone into a computer with odin or the phone decides to delete the downloaded patch

my first impressions about one ui 6.0 is that the emojis are looks different and i didn't liked the new messages list in the lockscreen but the new control menu looks great and the icons in the setting menu get brighter i think

I currently use a Galaxy S22. One time during vacation, I just let my phone charge, and then it started to automatically update from OneUI 5 to OneUI6. I had to get used to navigating the phone again, then about a week or so later, I got used to the navigation system. And today? IT'S A WALK IN THE PARK!

Control panel is bruh. They had minimalistic menu, located right under the thumb, now you must grab the phone different in your hand to access wifi or BT

I did update One UI 6.0 on my Galaxy Tab A7 Lite (Android 13), and the OS Corrupted :( Good news is that a expert installed Android 14 on it, and it's running fine. (Im writing right now on it)

@resolvanlemmy samsung offer 3 or 4 years of software update Cheapest phones gets 3 years of one ui update while expensive samsung phones including a53 gets 4 years of one ui update S24 is expected to get 7 years of one ui updates

@@loveandhugs13 OneUI is not Android. It is a shell, which is now a module to the OS, which became due to the introduction of Project Treble. Except that Samsung still can't make system updates seamless, so that you can install them while using the same KZfaq, rather than waiting to install them separately. A/B slots are more convenient than the old method Samsung is sticking to.
