Thanks, John. Even though I only lived in the Bronx for 4.5 years, it quickly became my favorite borough in NYC.

The RKO Chester Movie Theater and Howard Johnson's family restaurant(which was across the street from the entrance to The Bronx Zoo and are mentioned in this film)are long gone.

Thank you so much for this video. I loved Marty and just saw it again on TCM last night. I was curious about the locations. I am surprised they used a church in Quebec. I'm sure there are plenty of Catholic churches in the Bronx.

Thanks for your comment. The church was actually an outtake from Hitchcock's movie, "I Confess." I assume the MARTY folks needed a quick establishing shot and just borrowed the outtake.

If you made this, thank you! While the actual places are now rather mundane, it's still of some value to see these places. that said, it's like a place of magic had died.

Yes. I found most of these sites when I lived in the Bronx in the 2010s. Sad that most of the places are bland, but nice to see some of the places are still around. Thanks for commenting!
