Just listened to William Regal’s podcast where he talked about this. I’m surprised that Marty didn’t knock his block off earlier than he did

Well, well, well.......... Rickmansworth, Tuesday,17th September, 1985. Yes folks, I was pretty ordinary wasn't I ? I thought this might come back to haunt me sometime, and here it is on youtube 33 years later. Viewers may be happy to know that I've since re-invented myself , renouncing pro wrestling along time ago as Digger Nolan and becoming published and broadcasted country&western songwriter Colin Purssey. You avid wrestling fans no doubt would welcome that career change. I certainly do anyway. Incidentally, the main event on that inglorious night was Danny Boy Collins vs Mike Jordan. Also Pat Roach vs Bulldog Joynson were included on the support program.

As a certified Digger Nolan fan, I feel there was a lot to like about his fight. The slap away of the outstretched hand was a classic. The use of the ropes sublime. The bounce off the ropes and knee drop was the stuff of champions. Even though he lost I’m sure he would have picked up that night!

After that drop kick the only thing he was picking up was hid teeth

Before the match Jones agreed to lose so they could have a re match on TV a month later. Nolan came in the changing room and Marty went to him and he said you must be Digger Nolan, he said yes and I am winning the match. Marty said that was the last time he spoke to him
