I love so much of this movie, whether it be the beauty of the "Diving Rescue" scene, the thrilling action of the "Liberation of Veld", but my absolute favorite parts are intimate and dramatic scenes. So the two scenes I'd point to are the "Dance Lesson" in Veld where Steve shows vulnerability, and the scene where worldviews colliding, Diana starts realizing that "my mother was right" and that humanity is indeed flawed.

Beautiful. Now watch extended suicide squad. And then Snyder Cut of JL

DC also doesn't do the whole "variant" nonsense with their Deities. Their is a multiverse EXECPT for the realm of the gods.. (Old Gods, New Gods etc) their realm is only one. and its located outside of the SpeedForce wall (the multiverse is surrounded by the Speedforce).

You see Zacks influence and hands on help in all the fight scenes, his slo mo style which ramps up when contact is initiated during a slo mo scene, basically he was involved in everything since Patty was a new director to this genre and well also he cast Gal Gadot to be Wonder Woman and it was important for him to make sure she was bad ass but also compassionate. Then Patty asked WB if she could make her own Wonder Woman and with Zack busy Patty made Wonder Woman 84 without Zack and the first thing she did was get rid of Wonder Woman’s Sword and Shield because she wanted to prove that weapons were bad and a superhero like Wonder Woman didn’t need them. I would avoid Wonder Woman 84, because that movie was over feminized and badly directed.

In 1987, Zues took notice of her and wanted her to bear his child or just sleep with her. I forget which it was. She refused which cause the war of the gods story. This movie is what changed her creation. Cassie, Wonder Girl, was the daughter of Zues. That also had to be changed. Another that changed was her virginity. You saw her with Steve and the new 52 Superman have sex. That was a big no no through the decades. In 2000 Jiminez was going to have her lose her virginity. It made the news but it did not happen. I think DC said no.

She’s never fully stopped holding back on him as she’s yet to remove her bracers and allow her true godhood to influence her in a fight against him, yet she’s managed to overpower him time and time again. Meaning we’ve never seen her true strength

Its actually a tribute to the New 52 Justice League comic that inspired the animated movie.

She was awesome in Snyder's Justice League as well.

Regarding her strength, I think its not as high as superman but definitely more than a lot of other characters. And I think the weird stuff the German was inhaling is a reference to the drugs german soldiers actually used in the second world war. Dont know if it was a thing in the first one but definitely in the second one.

But that sequel is still better than Thor love & thunder & Wanda strange combined

Yes and no. Wonder Woman has always believed she was in the same class as Superman and everybody else around believed the same thing, but Supes himself has admitted in his inner monologues that she only wins their spars because he lets her win. If he didn't let her win then she would hound him constantly to fight her because she cannot stand losing. Superman has nothing to prove to anybody so he lets her win because it matters to her. However, when he's angry he trashes her with ease. His fights with her showcase his much greater speed, strength and endurance. Wondy has stated that she fights on reflex while Supes has to think about his moves which makes her faster in their fights, but Supes tries to explain (in one of the few times he was actually annoyed enough to do so) that he has super speed which makes up for the difference between him thinking and her just reacting. He proved that point in For Tomorrow, when Wondy was primed to attack a device, Superman was across the room and warned her to get away from it. She refused and Supes crossed the room and backhanded her before she could react. In New52, Wondy was more skilled than Supes so she trained him to fight and while he was under some mind control, the JL gathered to fight him and he told Diana that she couldn't beat him and she admitted that she knew that, but she could at least delay him. The power hierarchy in DC is weird, Superman is and is not the strongest being. His power can be influenced by his mindset. Things he believes are impossible, he can't do. He doesn't believe he can do it, so he can't do it. Then push comes to shove and he HAS to do it, so he does it. Then there's the fact that Superman grows stronger every second of every day so that something he couldn't lift it on Monday, took all his body strength to do on Tuesday, could do with just his arms on Wednesday, could do with one arm on Thursday, can do with just his hands on Friday, can do with his fingers on Saturday, can do with his eyelids on Sunday. Rinse, lather, repeat for billions of years until you get Strange Visitor Superman that can, if it were possible, lift the universe. Wondy is not in that class. She's godly strong, but not Superman strong.

He was seeing Doomsday and thus could not dodge Wondy's strikes as he was dodging Doomsday's greater reach. Wondy sliced his throat with her tiara in that fight which was enough to shock him out of what he was seeing. Then she killed Max Lord who had been making Supes see Doomsday. Again, I point you to Superman admitting that he lets her win. She can't beat Doomsday, Superman can. She can't go toe to toe with Darkseid, Superman can. She can't go toe to toe with Mongul, Superman can. She's powerful, no doubt about it, but she's only in Superman's league when he's holding back.

Cheetah bit him one time and turned him Into a mindless minion. Circe dominate him easily and used him as a part of her army. Superman seeing Wonder Woman as doomsday is not a disadvantage it's as bloodlusted as he will ever get fighting her. As good as he did in that battle is as good as he'll ever do because if he knew it was her he would fight her as a friend and get killed. Unfortunately actions speak lounder than words, and WW has continously shown she's able to match him. She has fought and beaten dark side when superman hasn't been able to fight Darkseid 1v1 in years. Superman will always hold back and that's his problem no one else's. Even if he dies holding back it doesn't matter. A loss is still a loss. I'm not saying WW is superior in strength but she has shown time and time again that she has the ability to take him out.

@@Falcun21 actually post New52 Wonder Woman has gone toe to toe with Doomsday, Mongul and Darkseid. It was primarily silver age and early post crisis versions of Diana that were dramatically weaker. She in fact was shown to be physically stronger than Mongul in New52 (a far cry from what we got in “The Man Who Has Everything” That said…this is the bottom line. It has, can and WILL change from story to story. I have seen stories where Superman openly states she’s as strong as him. Others where he states he is stronger. Some panels she wrecks him. Others, he wrecks her. It always comes down to the needs of that specific stories. Remember guys, try as they may, at the end of the day these are writers. Not physicists. They aren’t keeping track of their feats nearly as much as we are 😊

Superman is beyond Hulk's power. If we're talking sheer lifting and punching power, they're both equally limitless. But Superman's advantages over Hulk are his super speed (something that's strangely missing from the entire Marvel Universe, oddly enough), endurance, and tactical reasoning. Hulk can wreck a lot of shit, sure, but he can't keep it up forever. He has to turn back into Bruce Banner at some point. He'd also be unprepared for the speed Superman will be moving at. But what really decides it is Superman's ability to still be able to think in the heat of battle. Depending on the type of Hulk we'd be getting, he's most likely going to be spontaneous and reactionary in his efforts. I liken Hulk to an artillery barrage- overpowering and deadly, sure, but so sporadic and misdirected that it could just as easily hinder your own forces because the rounds are going to be landing all over the place. Superman is so insanely multi-faceted that he'd be the equivalent of a stealth drone no one could detect armed with a nuclear warhead. Or a sniper rifle that fires like a machine gun and will remain perfectly silent the entire time. Y'know, something we can barely comprehend.

Wonder Woman's invulnerability is funny/weird. She can be pierced by bullets or blades, but blunt trauma like a punch, she can take shots from Superman. So if you were fast enough, you could kill her with a knife, but she'd survive a building collapsing on top of her.

well supes is stronger than base hulk and much stronger than diana. Supes > hulk > thor > WW in tems of strength in comics but in a fight supes > diana > thor > hulk due to diana being the most skilled of all and much faster than thor and hulk. this is considering diana is wearing gauntlets, without them she solos thor and hulk and can stalemate supes

Hulk has no limit. He continues to get stronger until he is the strongest one there is. So I wouldn't say Superman is stronger than Hulk, unless his strength is unlimited as well.

@@br0ken_107 There’s no objective scale lol. And it depends on which run of which comic in which decade, etc. Wonder Woman has broken Superman’s arm in the comics. Batman once begged Supes not to get romantically involved with WW because Supes was Batman’s only contingency plan against her if she went rogue. She’s THAT scary powerful. As far as movies go, SPOILERS AHEAD… We know from both JL movies that she can take hits from Superman and shrug them off after a few seconds. To my mind, that puts her in Hulk territory. Especially since the DC vs Marvel crossover event from the 90s established that Supes beats the Hulk, but just barely. If movie WW is only slightly weaker than movie Superman, I think that puts her in movie Hulk territory.

I also approve of the casting for Ares. Wonder Woman might be a warrior, but her stories are indictments of war - and I can't think of a better indictment of war than making its god look like a tweedy politician who sends other people to do the dying.
