Marvel got MAD at Universal over this... Halloween Horror Nights : Maximum CARNAGE!

Күн бұрынLet't go back to 2002 where the Spider-Man villain Carnage invaded Universal's Halloween Horror Nights in the Islands of Fear. This controversial set-up got Universal Studios into some trouble with Marvel. So I'll fill everyone in on the Maximum Carnage comic book, video game and its poorly received haunted house which apparently featured some dead super heroes.

The whole Island Under Siege (the Marvel scare zone) was part of the of the storyline of HHN 12 (2002). The story is that the Icon, Dr. Albert Caine (aka. the Caretaker) was a formal surgeon who killing people in his victorian style mansion to find the human soul. He had twisted the once peaceful island into abominations with his family and followers. With Super Villains running around, Dino-men hybrids took over Jurassic Park, Twisted Toons, etc. As many of you guys wonder, what does a derange surgeon got to do with the Dino-men and Marvel villains. Initially the idea was suppose to focus on the Caretaker's daughter, Cindy. She was a demented young child who play with the dead corpses and have a "wild" imagination. The event was suppose to take place within her disturbed mind as we she her playthings take over the islands into her own way. So, yeah, Carnage and the other Marvel Villains were originally playthings for a little girl.

The funny thing is Carnage actually DID kill Gwen Stacy, it's how she died in the Ultimate Universe.

If they brought this back I would consider going to Florida to go to their Horror Nights. It just sounds like a good time. It would do so well and bring in a lot of people.

We'd love to have you at HHN! Its running from late August to early November this year! Tickets are like 80-120 bucks a night unless you get add ons like early admission or buy multi-night passes. It's a lot of fun!

I got to go to a Horror nights back in 2018, my dad and i won free tickets that year, it was a blast, got scared but was worth it and it had my favorite horror movie of all time, Trick r Treat

Green goblin DID NOT kill Gwen Stacy. Spider-Man did! The way he caught her as she was falling that resulted in him snapped her neck. It's not like Peter was some dummy he knew enough about physics and whiplash to know that catching somebody like that would cause damage. This is a hill I'll die on, he was responsible and I think it makes him more interested honestly.

Well Osborn did bring her up to the bridge. And he also knocked her off the bridge too. Yes. Spidey’s attempt to catch her did break her neck. And as result Peter feels even more responsibility and guilt. But you can’t blame the hero for trying to save someone.

Question this is kind of in the same vain where do they belong? So the x-men I know they are Disney but does anyone know why there never in the parks and literally had 5 seconds in a Marvel movie before being killed? Just asking Edit: anyone gonna ask why Kenny casually had a switch blade?????

I got the knife (a spider-man knife too) from a flea market. I believe Universal Studios owns the theme parks rights to the x-men and other marvel characters in FL. Not sure about Hollywood. I imagine Disney is waiting to reveal them in Disneyland once the X-Men are brought into the MCU?

I see why marvel shut universal down but it does Sound silly. However I love carnage, i would have love to have done this. They should definitely DEFINITELY bring back carnage as a costume character and also have venom too!

@@theprodigiousspiderstarTM actually not sure if they can- universal has a deal with Marvel so Disney can't use any characters Universal has already put in Islands east of the Mississippi. That's why you get a Guardians coaster in EPCOT and the Spider-Man ride is in California Adventure. I'm not sure if using Carnage for HHN counts under this contract though!

The superheros is not a rumor it was up for a couple days for the public but was taken down due to marvel complaints it has been confirmed by multiple people who went to the early opening for team members they had dead superheros That is why people arnt sure is because it wasn't up for most of the time of hhn that year There was a pic of one of them getting killed by toxic but was very had to see due to tech limitations of the time in video

Alas I don't think we'll get another Islands of Fear. Trying to host it in Islands is a logistical nightmare and so is trying to split the thing into two parks. At least with Epic Universe coming up there'll be a whole spooky land!

He dies in the comics but comes back. And I think he dies again? I don’t know those x people are always dying and coming back. It gets out control with elixir and Kraoka and the resurrection protocol where they started bringing back everyone.

oh man. Some of the solo namor runs are not the best... I just mostly like him from all the side adventures he's had with Captain America over the years. As well as his 'love affair' with Sue Storm. He's also one of Marvel's oldest character. He's basically just an arrogant Aquaman.

I go yearly and if you go in September tickets are easier to get. I would recommend the RIP tour if you can swing the cost all the VLOGGERS get that in Orlando. Though if you can afford it go to Hollywood as you can film in the house. Talk to your buddy the Woo that's what he does yearly.

I think he’s okay. He came about in the early 1970’s to capitalize on the popularity of the Kung Fu tv show. He was always the master of martial arts/kung fu. Just a regular human with incredible skills. Since the movie they have given him power rings or something. So I guess he’s got powers now?

Pluggin my channel here. I've been going to HHN for the past 5 years(minus 2020). I did a coast to coast trip in one weekend to go to both HHN at LA and Orlando.
