Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

I actually think Hasbro did a better job with Starlord and Rocket than SHFiguarts did. Better likeness and Rocket has more personality.

Totally agree and at half the price....and maybe I'm wrong....but couldn't they have given Rocket just a bit of a neck???? I just think he needs a bit of a neck ...he'd look better and we could move his head around some....right???

I’m pissed with hasbro and their star lord figures. Huge bust on this figure, can’t stand the ab crunch, I prefer the ball peg abdominal articulation. Feels better, looks better, and doesn’t feel so cheap to me. The fact that we’ve had like what 5 mcu starlords from hasbro and only 2 body molds??? That’s ridiculous. Specially for this new figure, the inaccuracies in this entire wave is probably some of the worst we’ve seen, specifically the star lord. We still have yet to see the ultimate mcu starlord figure yet…

It's a solid wave but it annoys me that we got a Kraglin figure over a new Gamora or High Evolutionary as the BAF figure tbh. Cosmo and Rocket should've come packaged together for that $25 price point!

Totally agree.....but it does make me wonder if we'll see a second wave with those other figures....and I'd still love to see them do an all new Yondu with a head sculpt from each of the first 2 movies....I'm not a fan of either sculpt we got from the Vol. 2 wave

yea they can keep these coming i really loved the movie it was really good. good baf suggestion and no gamora is just crazy. i also would love a rocket from his flashbacks sort of in a weapon x wolverine spirited release and warlock should have come with his little creature.

Adam Warlock still looks too small to me. Will Poulter didn't get insanely buff for no reason. Also, user error with the Cosmo. you have the dome upside down.

Star Lord and Rocket are my favorites with Cosmo and Groot followed closely behind. Kinda wish Kraglin wasn’t so tall and weirdly proportioned. They all look fantastic together especially posed with other MCU teams like Avengers and Eternals

Fun review! I think you can flip Cosmos’ helmet upside down so that the visor stays up. Works on mine at least.

Turn the neck on cosmo so that your bottom is at the top and just turn his head. Then the helmet will go all the way to the top not the bottom

I'm so tired of not being able to see the action figures I kind of get it Hasbro doesn't want to be wasteful with resources but I don't want a cockeyed drax either lol I loved looking at each figure when you had the window to see which one you like the most I'm such a stickler for that, so we need to fix this Hasbro I don't want to gamble with my figures.

23:00 nope, you're definitely not the only one who wanted to see that epic battle on the MCU 💔 I'm a big fan of Adam Warlock in the comics and back when Infinity War and Endgame were delivered to us I felt like something was missing, I still do. But well, better late than never to have Adam in the movies, I guess. A bit too late tho.

Vol. 2 Rocket is leagues better in my opinion. That screaming head sculpt nails his battle face and feels like an authentic expression. The tail sculpt on Vol. 3 is better, but idk, not feelin' the paintjob. Still both are good, far better than Vol. 1 haha. Idk what was going on with that figure.

My ranking: 8.) Kraglin (A new character to add in the collection, the proportions look really weird.) 7.) Rocket 6.) Cosmo (She should’ve been in a 2-pack with Rocket, I’d rather have Groot or High Evolutionary as a build a figure, if she ends up being a minor character. Then her role is going to make a break on this build a figure) 5.) Mantis 4.) Nebula 3.) Star Lord 2.) Drax 1.) Adam Warlock If this movie does end up being successful, it’s very likely that we could get a wave 2 for GOTG Volume 3 because back in 2017, there were 2 waves for GOTG Volume 2. Hopefully we do get Gamora and High Evolutionary from this movie in the marvel legends line. Overall, I’m excited to see this movie. This wave on the other hand, it had a lot of potential. man not having the window on the boxing really sucks, even though i dont care much to keep my figures sealed its still cool and nostalgic seeing your figure and its accessories through the box and sometimes your figures arrive in sh*t condition because its not secured in a plastic mold.....like my recent black series jedi master luke 😡

I've been wanting to complete a BAF wave and have a team in figure form and I chose the GOTG. I agree that some of the figures are not worth it and the BAF sucks, but its a dog that many fans might want to get. (dodged a bullet right there hasbro)

I know you release these reviews when you get these figures which is before the movie releases nowadays it seems like. Any thought of doing like a part 2 or post watch review of them like if that was suit of that character was the right one do use, justifying some of the accessories it comes with, what they got right, what they could have done better, etc.

The cosmo is more comic because the one from the movie dosen't have the space bowl or at least not in vol.3 plus the dog in the movie dosen't have the light color around the nose and muzzle

I've compared the tails on rocket and I think the Guardians 3 one actually has a new tail. It's definitely bigger, but it also sits at a different angle, and it's kind of hard to tell but the sculpt of the fur is different.

I got mine. Now, I will probably use mine to build an Infinity Watch rather than call them the Guardians. I also got my original Star Lord in. So I will call MCU Star Lord, Peter Quill 'Ranger'. Especially since Drax will be regaining some of his original Near Hulk level strength back.

they need to figure something out with the boxes, i wouldn't mind if all figures always came out perfect with no faults unfortunately that's not the real world, but this new system is like a luck of the draw you could have a broken leg or cross eyes, but you won't know until it's too late....either lower prices or something
