Thanks a lot for showing the head swaps. I think your the only one that actually did that with the love triangle JG and not that horrible VHS version. Now I am interested in getting it just for the update body.

Update I bought the new jean gray. I have some complaints but overall pretty good I really like the double jointed arms.

Meh... I'm good with the Mafex Jean Grey. That lack of articulation on the torso kills it for me

Yes, I agree. The head of Jean Grey in Love triangle set is the best so far.

I have the 3-pack Jean Grey but she is supper hard to stand up (probably because of her hair) so I’m excited to get this one because it looks more sturdy. Would the new Cyclops be worth picking up? I don’t want to get another double if I don’t need to.

For me the Cyclops is worth picking up. He’s on a better buck and you get the blast effect. If you’re not planning on using the blast effect, then I think the love triangle cyclops is still a great option

I think if you like the VHS you should wait. I personally prefer the Love Triangle version. But I’d think we get another comic version of Jean at some point

Most of these figures are home runs IMO. I can't for the life of me figure out the belt design. Why is the X not centered? It doesn't make sense to me. Of course that's how they designed it for the cartoon so I can't fault the figure. I might try to swap in a more traditional belt on mine.

I got Triangle and VHS, and I never understand why they didn't upgrade Triangle with VHS pinless, that mold is very easy to do that, but they even charge more cash, and just for a cheap cell shaded. This new is a big improve of VHS, better color, pinless, not paint skin faces, which Hasbro isn'´t good on that. Ball joint waist isn't new, we saw this on Kang, Dr. Strange, Luke Cage.

An upgraded love triangle with pinless joints would’ve been ideal for me. I think we will get another Jean repainted on the 97 at some point which will be closer to the love triangle look.

Hard to say for 97. We’re definitely getting a Prof X this year but it’ll be Savage Land. If Hasbro is smart they’d do another Prof X in the chair or at least rerelease the ultimate riders version
