I agree 100%, it was a really shitty move to release the single packs afterwards. They should have just released them all together and then people could have decided which they wanted beforehand.

The photos at the end with Darwin made me really laugh, soo good. Anthony is imho very good in posing and has a really high creativity in staging the figures.

Longshot looks like a young Dolf Lundgren

For me I think the “anime-esque” design on longshot is a major plus, as I think it draws much more on his original Art Adams design than on his more recent depictions. I was shocked when I got it, there are some panels in the original miniseries where it looks like he stepped directly off the page. Not for everyone though!

Here’s something I find interesting. For this year I have had more absolute blunders ordering some must have figures from Amazon with either sending me the wrong figure or losing a figure mid shipment, but Pulse has been really good. They have not disappointed me yet.

I not only like the pinless joints from Hasbro, I expect them at the prices we are paying now. They need to be giving us way more for the prices they’re charging now.

Still bought this version as this Mojo paint is billion times better than the single release. Also the TV-box is worth mentioning too. And I was surprised but his legs can actually hold him by themselves, of course he will fall eventually but mine was standing long enough on them for me to make pictures.

I like how Darwin is used for the acba pics at the end of your reviews recently. Finding good use for a mediocre at best figure. 👌

Bought these as soon as they were announced simply because Longshot is my favorite and I was shocked they gave him a new figure after so long. Was a little bummed when they announced the standalones, and can definitely see why people are angry at the massive up charge. Hard for me to be pissed when it got us spiral though. Can’t wait to have both of them.

This makes me feel better about premium bandai. Essentially they have a website for exclusive gundam kits that they think wont be as high in demand. But they also dont overcharge like this and put out quality products.

To be honest, as someone who grew up not having much action figures, I find that the pins create that "signification" that these are action figures-make that what you will. I like them but I also don't mind pinless joints especially the ones that cause color inaccuracies (like Spidey). But overall, I'm fine with having pins.

You are THE Man when it comes to honest reviews. As soon as I saw the regular release of Longshot pop up at BBTS, I cancelled my preorder at Pulse. I live in Canada and the cost differential is already ridiculous since Hasbro ships with carriers who "pre-charge" / "up-charge" for paying the taxes and duties. This means that on top of the 25% exchange rate, I'm forced to caress the barrel while the shipping companies line up for what amounts to 30% of the total cost of the item. For something truly exclusive, I'll suck it up and blame my lack of willpower for Chris Claremont characters. BBTS on the other hand will ship USPS Airmail and not only will the Canadian customs give toys a pass, I save on the horrendous surcharges for "pre-paying" what I should not have to pay at all. That all said, this set released individually (Mojo and Longshot anyway) along with a useless and undesired (by me) Wolverine and a "meh" level Dazzler (the OG release is better and I have it) meant an immediate pre-order with BBTS and my wallet thanks me profusely. I'm always pleased to watch your reviews and listen to you say it like it actually is. No pandering. No lauding unless deserved. Awesome stuff.

I totally agree. I had this ordered and then cancelled it as soon as i saw there was a single release mojo out there. While I know I will still pick up some marvel legends, Spiral being a good example. I am bored of criticising them, because, lets face it, the criticism just goes without saying now. Sadly this business model is working for games workshop, raise prices, lose market share, yet hight profits. Granted they are top of their game, Hasbro are not.

What if I can get this set for 17% off at Big Bad Toy Store? That makes the cost $109.99 plus $4.00 shipping and tax. The Deluxe Mojo by itself is currently $56.99. The Long shot is $25.99. Dazzler is $17.59 with the cool jacket, which makes that total $100.57 plus shipping and tax. This would make the tiny Wolverine around $10. IDK, but with the better paint apps on Mojo plus the additional Wolverine I'm kind of leaning towards the Four-Pack.

I grabbed this Mojo fatpack. Love these figures (2,3 & 4 in my Marvel Legends collection) Longshot and Dazzler look amazing. Dazzlers articulation is great, though both figures are made of pretty soft materials. I’m happy with Mojo’s look as well, his little legs don’t support him though, but he has those built in lightbulb looking stands… lol, cool enough. Yay pinless! The X-Babies Wolverine is trash and out of scale, right into the waste bin.

this mojo looks like the animated series and def has more paint apps. the single release longshot has the eyeshine on his left eye to show he's using his powers & comes with the man-purse from the toybiz figure.

Mojo is the best example of how far we've fallen in paint and sculpt quality since the Toy Biz days: it's shocking how much the quality's gone down in 16 years

I prefer pinless, unless it's a robot or something similar. The main reason is pins seem to wear down and flex making the joints loose or wobbly over time. I do agree it's weird being a big deal now as I have figures 10 years old + that have no pins.

I really like the pinless joints, they don’t push the value of the figures up a lot, if anything after seeing the recent figures have it, it makes me wonder why we haven’t had it for a while now.

As far as Dazzler being strung out, it WAS the 80's.

I'll admit I prefer the yellow skin tone here, if I could I'd use the dazzler body with the retro card head and accessories, and Longshot's face doesn't bother me I think subconsciously I interpret him as an alien or something. Not an earthling. But yeah this set is a scam. I kinda prefer pins so I can part swap easier. But when they're good they work great like with the Modular iron man

I have to admit that I forgot I pre-ordered this until I was charged for it 😓 I was expecting it to be released on October 25th (that's what the website says it'd be released) so since I wasn't charged, I forgot about it like a week later lol. I definitely regret spending the money on this release since in my opinion the figures' paintjob isn't distinct enough to justify the upcharge.

I like pinless joints and kind of expect them but I don't care in the way that Hasbro keeps bringing them up as a selling point. It's like a care salesman pointing out power windows.

Pinless joints are really only necessary if normal pins break up the costume imo. I worry it’s an excuse to raise the prices based on perceived value.

This sure makes me wonder what the Brand Manager for the ML line is thinking. Is the paint job between the 2 Mojo's significantly different to pay extra for one because the color is preferred? Isn't that similar to a car dealership selling two identical cars but charging extra for the red one because of its color?

I really want this ''4 pack'' but Mojo is not even one of my favorite X-MEN villains and he is does look awesome while the others look really great to have because Spiral will be another great little addition to have in any X-MEN collection since she is coming on a X-MEN retro card, As always, Fantastic reviews overall Anthony.

It is a good set, but Hasbro’s big mistake was putting in that stupid baby Wolverine figure instead of including Spiral. They definitely gypped us there. I did get this set on a Warehouse Sale, so it was $90 instead of the $132 asking price which made the pill a little easier to swallow. But even if it was 4 figures, it still wouldn’t be worth $132, despite the amazing box art.

The single pack Mojo is more how U remember him from the comics, creepy and pasty. I'll probably get that and paint the wires and switches myself. Also I don't think the fingernails are painted. The single release Longshot looks good to me, so I'll pick that up. I wouldn't bet against Dazzler getting a single release too. This ones vacant expression is probably from making out with Darwin at the end of the vid.😁 I prefer the cleaner pinless look, but pins aren't a deal breaker for me if done well.

For me personally, I'm not super upset about the singles coming out. It's still a bit shity of hasbro not to disclose the fact that the figures are not 100% exclusive to the box set. But to be fair, the singe carded versions of Longshot and Mojo were announced/released before most people were charged for the box set, so if you only wanted the set for those 2 figures you could have just canceled your pre-order.

I canceled mine and bought the single releases of mojo and longshot …..don’t need a statue of chibi wolverine or a new dazzler that I can probably find on the after market for cheaper

I understand your dissatisfaction of Hasbro, you can hear it in this video. LOL. I agree, these news Hasbro releases are crap when it comes to using the newer body, paint job, articulation, and the list goes on, and I've experienced many, many lately with these cardboard box figures. But as someone who influences people, speak with your money. Just tell us not to buy it, and don't buy it to tell Hasbro you're not giving them any of your money. I do that with 70% of their newly released figures. But I feel when you buy each of their product to do a review and sell it later, you're telling Hasbro you're supporting their crap practices. Also, pinned figures doesn't matter to me. Just like you, if it's painted correctly I'm happy with it.

Got the single release the other day and one of the heads was missing his teeth 🤣. Took it back and let them know about the issue and they had me look though their entire stock. All from the same batch sadly haha. Manager didn't look happy at all 😅

The color of the retail release is a very pale green and is missing paint on the wire. This release is far more vi rant, has the spots, and has some wire painted. Not worth the extra money to me. I got the retail release with a 25% off coupon and plan on customizing it.

Can anyone name the last Marvel Legends figure that was released before the deluxe Mojo with no prior reveal? Bueller? Bueller? Yeah, this was a really shady thing to do. The plan was obviously for the deluxe Mojo to come out after the box set shipped. …and I had people arguing with me on message boards that Hasbro was just being thoughtful and offering their collectors different options. That’s bull malarkey. This is just a cash grab gone wrong. After all of those cancellations, I may pick one up if it’s offered at a substantial discount.

Pinless joints are only really important for figures where there is a color change from the inside to the outside of the limb, or from the upper to lower limb. I really don't see why they're making a fuss about it now, except some twat in marketing got over-excited about it.

Yeah, this set is grossly overpriced. It doesn't help that Mojo just had a coupon on Amazon that brought his price to $42. I just went with that and I'll wait for the retail release of Longshot (which actually comes with an extra accessory anyway). I'll stick with Retro Dazzler. I don't pay attention to Hasbro Pulse. Everything is so overpriced. I like the Skottie Young Wolverine, but that is a figurine than an action figure. And that is not the X-babies that are linked with Mojo. For the price and the cheap qualities, this should be a set of X-Babies, not just one.
