I know MAFEX gets all the love for capturing comic art styles in plastic form, but that Ultimate Spidey perfectly captures Mark Bagley's art, especially with those eyes!

Silvermane with the flesh colored ears looks so funny, like a Micky Mouse whit his ears squeezed to his head 🤣

Fun fact, the ultimate Spider-Man body measures to exactly 5'10" in a true 1:12 scale, so it's perfect for using with your classified and black series.

Damn. Those flesh-colored Silvermane ear covers are one of the most disturbing QC issues I've seen since Hasbro's transition to windowless packaging.

I'm probably in the minority but that ultimate symbiote Spiderman is what pushed me into getting this set. Always loved the game and the symbiote run in the comics so I was pretty excited to see it getting an action figure

This sets actually pretty nice for being mostly repaints... also, I thought it was pretty cool when Hasbro brought you up to reveal Razorback back at comic con.

Looks like Hasbro decided to announce on 10/20 that they weren’t completely happy with Robo having a pretty good Pretty Boy custom. They just went ahead and planned one and made a digital render to boot. Should look good with the current Reavers.

I *only* know Silvermane thanks to the RC car body. I'd heard of him, but Superior Foes of Spider-Man is the first time I read something with him in it. He was... fine, but everyone else in that comic was just way better. Those five absolute losers will always be my favourite Sinister Six! Man, they really need to make an Overdrive... actually, he's kind of perfect for this kind of release. Get on it, Hasbro!

But since you gave me all the information about the other figures in the pack I’m more excited to get them I didn’t really know razorback or human fly

I love this set , can't wait to get it. The minor characters are what make Marvel so good. I don't mind the reuse. And giving us a Different Spider-Man for the Spiderverse shelf works for me.

I hope those Silvermane thigh swivels are stronger than the previous use of the molds. My ultimate Beatle came out of storage since some time ago with both thigh pegs broken without reason. I would get this set, mainly for the Ultimate Spidey. But a 5 pack just for one is too expensive sadly

I don't collect much Marvel Legends anymore, but this pack is cool. I always love the lower tier villains. I really want Razorback and Human Fly. I may play the long game and see if this goes on sale like many of the 5 packs have.

I hate always screaming heads without a neutral head. Human fly is still cool though. Might use an extra hydra soldier headed for a neutral head.

I stuck the old Silvermane head on the Fan Channel Blue / Gunmetal Iron Man body (Invincible Iron Man body / yellow lightsaber) and it works great. Definitely getting this set. The more the merrier for my Spidey villains. Thanks for the great review Robo!

This box set looks better than expected.

The actual fly version of The Fly was awesome, I would much have preferred that. this guy is just "Generic neon wetsuit with some wings on it". I was never huge into comic collecting as a kid, it just didn't feel very accessible, but in a Sinister Six comic the fly was a serial killer who made his lair in a belltower where he stored his victims to be broken down with his acid spit. Super dark and creepy and I loved it.

Good review as always👌. This 5pack is definetly mine thing. I love less known funny and dumb characters. Especially spider-man villains. Razorback, the Fly are perfect. Ultimate symbiote spidey is a good add to spider verse display because of this cool paint he really can stand out, and molten man isn't that bad as I expected but he could have Namor body to be more bulky. And silvermane is well..... Hasbro is lucky I don't care that much how he looks because this is lazy repaint. One thing I gotta tell you tho you got paint deffect. And those big round ears should be painted silver XD

I was impatient and pre ordered the Wolverine set and the Psylocke/Nimrod only to see them be basically 40% off 3 months later....I'm waiting this one out now lol.

I'm into this set because I see four characters I don't have and a neat Spidey for the Spider-Verse shelf, that purpley symbiote is very "Ultimate Spider-Man" to me because of the Shattered Dimensions game.

It's odd that color choice for this Spider-Man figure looks more like the Ultimate Spider-Man than the Earth-616 Spidey. EDIT: Oh it is Ultimate Spider-Man! I didn't realize until you showed size comparison with Miles Morales and the Human Touch.

Did they fix the thigh issue on that Silvermane? People who kitbashed him with that Ultron body had a ton of issues with brittle plastic with the thigh swivel...

I, too, am a HUGE Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe fan. Not the original with, IIRC, the yellow covers, but the thicker ones that came next, with the white covers. Hated it when they went to the kind you can put in a folder. They always had the edge over DC's WHO'S WHO by far. (Do I have PDFs of the old TSR PnP RPG to satisfy that craving? Naturally.)

Razorback is such a cool toyetic design. Hasbro could've made the head and shoulder gear 2 separate piece. 1 is the headgear mask. and the other is the skin textured drape all over his shoulders much like Gorr MCU design cape., hence giving him the head/neck articulation. missed opportunity. Once i got a copy I might try my idea.😀

Got this box set....and i really dig it. I bought it specifically for Razorback and Human Fly. But, i will say this Silvermane and Molten Man do look much better in hand. I sold the Spiderman since i don't collect or read that version of Spiderman. And...my Razorback came with two right hands. I put a spare Thor left hand on him. Same size hand...but no glove....it looks odd, but not as bad as two right hands. I'll get another left hand eventually for Razorback. Still a great set to me.

I like all the classic Spidey characters so this is interesting. It's just niggling that they could he on better body moulds. Retro Spidey/Renew your vows for Human Fly (shame Human Fly's wings aren't better articulated,in and out instead of just up and down), and as Robo showed some better options for Razorback, although he looks pretty good as is. Molten Man on Vulcan bod perhaps.

It just dawned on me, the arms on Silvermane are the same ones going to be used on the newly announced Pretty Boy 👀

Knew the arms weren't new on the Pretty Boy. Same exact arms as Ultron/Silvermane.

Love the Handbook and Dc's Who's Who. And I want a Mindworm figure! And I want this Razorback as well, but I only care for 2 out of the 5 figs. Razorback and Human Fly. I'm a fan of Molten Man, but not to crazy how it was done here. Same with Silvermane. I could care less for the included Spidey. I guess I'll play the gambling game and wait for it to drop in price.

You could also use Thunderball's body for Razorback.

Are you planning on getting the WWE Wrekkin Rig for Razorback? I picked one up to customize, debating on putting a Big Pig logo on it or go Jack Burton and use the Porkchop Express logo.

I have been buying them separately, ngl. I had that beetle, but I lost it. And I still have that ultron. Unfortunately for me, the ears 👂 broke off. I might pass on silvermane (for now). I only have the razorback, and he's on the way. Hopefully, I'll have it in my mail today or Monday.

As someone who's just read the Ultimate comics for the first time earlier this year, I'm glad they released the symbiote Spider-Man in that style, it's just weird that we don't have many other Ultimate Spider-Man comic characters. Spider-Man villains are near and dear to me, that's what got me into Marvel as a child and is probably my favorite part of my Marvel Legends collection, but for budget and space I stick to a set group of what I consider the biggest names which for me is 16 characters. For me the Chameleon is the only one I'm waiting on to get a revamp. With that the only characters in this set who come onto my radar are Molten Man and Silvermane, but they wouldn't make that top 16 list, definitely agree that Molten Man should be broader, and Silvermane as a whole new sculpt would make for a cool figure. That said, I like the thrown together lower-level choices here. Human Fly seems like a perfectly generic low-level villain, reminds me of something like Killer Moth or various other loser supervillains, I see that face and just think he's angry because everyone tells him he sucks. I have no attachment to Razorback, but I love the ridiculousness. Not of the design, it's comics after all, but of how it has nothing to do with his powers, it's one of those things where there's no way that was unintentionally funny when they created that character. Either way, glad you finally got him for your shelf Robo.

Based on the promo pics you either got a paint defect on your silvermaine ears or Hasbro messed up on the promo pics. Watching this review made me hope they weren't gonna reuse the silvermaine body for the rumored legends pretty boy. They just revealed him today with a better looking robot body.which I'm pretty sure people will now use the pretty boy body for a silvermaine because it looks a little bit more accurate. That molten man makes me ask why don't we have a proteus yet he's mainly one color😑.

I put the old Silvermane head on that Ultron 3 pk body so not sure what I will do with this one.

I wish Silvermane came with a regular, non-cyborg head so that it could be used for a generic suited body. Heck, the whole Silvermane figure is a letdown. I know these are obscure characters in this pack and most people just want the (oddly out of place) Ultimate Spider-Man, but Silvermane's cybernetic body is so unique in the comics. It would have certainly been a standout figure in any collection with that design. With that said, I also want to say that this set isn't as bad as others are making it out to be. Silvermane is the only real dud in my opinion. It is cool to get these obscure characters. For anyone who wants them, a sale would work well, like you said.

The ultimate symbiote is nice... but I wouldn't get a 5 pack just for one figure. But, I bet a lot of money that Hasbro will release a repaint where he's just a matte black. But are the other figures worth it? Should I get it?
