The jacket is new.

Most marvel legends have huge heads. The new Rogue head is actually proportionate . It’s just ML collectors got used to a bigger head size with the years.

This new head sculpt is insane on this 97 figure! Possibly the best Rogue Hasbro figure I've seen.

I think this Rogue has a much more aesthetically flattering face than the prior retro card release looking butch and bloated. Even a little more petite sized than the retro card too. I'm gonna get her as I only have the retro card and a big X-men fan. I think the face makes her a worthy upgrade! IMO Storm was the weakest figure not bringing anything new but less. I've got the white and black retro card & the VHS Storm all coming with effect pieces and good faces. The mohawk does nothing for me but make her less top hair heavy. She looks like Jada Pinkett Smith too 😂 The new Gambit face makes him a worthy upgrade too for X-men fans!

Yeah comic version is better and her legs aren't gummy despite having pins

The comic version is 99% better minus the floating leg ring pieces.

I don't mind the unique minor changes for Rogue because she is beautiful and badass with a cool power set as an X-MEN member The only tiny gripe that I only have to say about is that.... I do wish her face matched up a bit of the artwork on the retro card but to me, I might get her along with the other X-MEN figures Fun review

I’m not a huge fan of Rogue, but I think the new figure looks better. I particularly like the head sculpt of the new figure better than the comics figure. The new figure looks younger, and more easy going than the harsh, serious, overly made up comics figure.

I always thought the jacket was brown. I guess it was a Mandela effect because a darker shade of green is the actual color of a jacket in the show interesting.

The comic version is great, but I think Rogue’s head is a bit large. I do like how the animated Rogue has a smaller, youthful and friendlier face. She will look better next to my Mafex Gambit. Comic Rogue looks too big next to him.

This Rogue is the 2nd best Rogue. I still like the Juggernaut Wave Rogue because that's the Jim Lee styled one. The previous Rogue's lips were too big.

I still need a jacketless Rogue and Gambit.

4:12 🤣 little peanut head. The Apocalypse wave one had too big of a head (with those huge super far apart eyes), and the retro carded one was _juuuust_ right.

The face sculpt is so much better and human like than the other figure.

I think the retro Rogue looks like a blow up doll hehe, though the 97s face doesn’t look like the 90’s one she’s actually better proportionally and kinda leaves that uncanny valley look behind… oooey😂

Hair color is better but the green jacket loooks bad. Overall the old Rogue looks more accurate.

This one is nice, but i took the jacket and belt from vintage and added the head from outback rogue and its 10x better

Those curved shins bother the heck out of me too. It's one of those rare WTF molding issues.

I feel this rogue about the head proportion, I think it's better and more accurate to a human body because the ML figures have bigger head proportions usually

I like the bright colors on the new one more and think it has a better face but her costume looks better with the brown jacket and belt. They should have changed that for 97’.

I've been waiting for a decent Jim Lee Rogue for years. Overall I like the sculpt, but I would prefer a brown jacket, and for the yellow to not be so flourescent day-glo lemon. She's won't be my definitive Rogue, but I'm hoping another company like Mondo will nail it.

All the other figures have an intense look on their faces, expression-wise, but Rogue's expression isn't at all intense. It's almost an apology sort of expression or something a little more ambiguous and not committed.

Before a certain point, all female ML figures had a sort of 'pulled apart' look to the face, where it felt like when sculpting, they just clicked and dragged the entire thing. I absolutely could not overlook it, and Rogue's was awful in that regard, so this, I feel, was absolutely necessary. Plus, the paintwork and finish has a simpler aesthetic that is pleasing to the eye. Messy paint apps and slightly odd looks aside, I feel this is far and away the best we've ever gotten for a Jim Lee-ish Rogue.

they could've sculpted new arms with double-jointed elbows, instead they wasted all that budget into covering her breasts with a new upper torso because female body evil, but Namor can be almost naked and that's not an issue for them

Why is her Jacket green??? Original Rogue from the comics had a brown jacket. Also, the previous model had a better face sculpt imho. Fantastic video as always!!🤗🤗🤗🤗

The original and retro carded were on the original moonstone body so the torso is probs the new moonshine upper torso and I'm glad for the neck hinge and sculpted boot cuffs. I suspect the new belt makes the body look different and a bit thicker at the waist.

I'm not a huge fan of the new head, and the colors are so washed out that it makes her not that good-looking for me.

The head on the figure is "off", it's the eyebrows...too thick and they are flat and not arched. I think if they arched them slightly, it would capture Rogue better. Something as tiny as that makes a big difference. She looks doped up or tranquilized.

Cartoon figure mold is much better. 97 figure was an easy pass for me.

the previous rogue looks odd, especially the face. this one's ok, but overall there's a lot that needs to be improved with the fig itself. the head is a better upgrade though. also the body proportion looks better, not the best.. but since it's hasbro.. can't really expect much

Yeah they didnt really nail the new 97 Xmen art style on Rogue face the way they did with the Gambit figure. I also personally wished they didnt change the dark green on her from the more neon green in the 92 animated series. Her face expression is very ' dead 'doll looking. Also is too small. These female ml figures legs dont bother me , if the character flies.

I kinda prefer the new head which surprises me, but she is a little doe eyed. The new boot top being part of the thigh threw me and I dont like it. I was really hoping it would be like Thor. I do prefer the brown jacket though. Otherwise the figures having confusing sculpting is reallt weird. The curving legs and storms arm is random af.

Well, just canceled my Rogue preorder. At first glance it seems like an upgrade, but the Target version is just better. The legs were supposed to be an upgrade, but the whole figure just seems bad.

The old version is much better to me.

The Retro Rogue has superior torso body, the more recent ML female figures use that new torso mold with the stretchy fabric which is just lame, imo.

I feel like her face has the same problem with Elektra 3 pack's face. It's too innocent. Rogue (and Elektra) is a femme fatale type of woman. She's sexy. She's a gay icon. They made her face a little too cute and pure.

I'm just gonna assume this new Rogue is literally based off the new show, so they have a different hairstyle, just like Storm. I probably would get this despite having the previous...if the hair was like the mega humongous glam rock/'80s hair that Rogue had in the original cartoon. This one's just not nearly as aesthetically pleasing as the last.

This one looks like a younger less worldly Rogue. The pinless legs are an upgrade but the previous one had a better colour tone. As I don't have a Rogue figure this would be an option. Those shins that are curved like a bananna look awful. I wonder if hot water could straighten them out? If it's due to the sculpt then they need to go back to anatomy class.

Why do you feel the need to constantly handle the figure? You can't just pose it and let us look at the damn thing? The only time you leave it still, without your hands in the way, is when doing figure comparisons at the end, which really isn't ideal for seeing the detail on the figure.

4:27 it looks like there's saggy pseudo-uni boobs under the shirt. A very unflattering look which does an injustice to the character...like so many they've been doing as of late. I've even done a poll on that with more than a few women I know, and 100% of them concur that it's ridiculous they like to de-feminize the female figures with what curves they should have. A few times I got asked _"do the muscle bound male characters now feature boobs with beer guts?"_

Never liked that retro rogue headsculpt. Always felt too big and the thick red lipstick was doing no favors. This one looks much more natural, even with its animated style.
