The game pitches a series of Marvel heroes and villains, including Venom, Wolverine, Iron Man, and Spider-Man against a series of original EA-created/owned characters. Combat is simplified in favor of allowing the player greater movement, and the game initially drew comparisons to Power Stone, Super Smash Bros. and Ehrgeiz as a result
We recorded this on max settings on the Dolphin emulator. While the in-game graphics look absolutely amazing compared to the quality of the original, the pre-rendered cutscenes can't be up-resolutioned in the same way. There are also some cutscenes that aren't rendered correctly by the emulator, but we felt that overall it was good enough. Sorry about that.
As always we used relevant gameplay, important dialogue and all cutscenes to create a fluid cinematic experience. We hope you enjoy!

We recorded this on max settings on the Dolphin emulator. While the in-game graphics look absolutely amazing compared to the quality of the original, the pre-rendered cutscenes can't be up-resolutioned in the same way. There are also some cutscenes that aren't rendered correctly by the emulator, but we felt that overall it was good enough. Sorry about that.

you know what the sad part is, EA bought the Marvel rights and this was the only game that ever came out of it. Clearly they didn't have a vision for what they wanted to do, and they figured they would just coast on the name. I know for me, I remember this game fondly. I can for sure say that it's NOT a good game now, objectively speaking. But I remember when I was younger, I was just happy to be playing as my favorite Marvel characters

I actually liked this game. A little rough around the edges. And the roster was a little small. I loved the dark tone. I have feeling that they were waiting fir a sequel and hoping this would sell and then they would put more effort in.

@Anthony Johnson Idk dude, a backwoods good ol boy on death row turned into a living electrical conduit, a team of soldiers frankensteined into a single person, a world renowned ballerina who'd go so far as to sell her soul just to dance again, a scientist who's only means of escaping a deadly chemical leak was to inject himself with the cures he had been working on only to get turned into a monster, most of these stories are generally unique to the marvel franchise. As for the whole gary/mary sue/stew thing, considering all the imperfects get defeated at one point or another, that kinda blows that whole thing outta the water, not even mentioning the fact that their fates were changed only when the doctor go a hold of them which means they didn't just become super powerful outta nowhere. Ya know. Like a mary sue

Never mind Hulk and Cap, seeing scraps of the Punisher’s costume flying like a flag in the wind next to a dropped minigun, of all things…yeesh. Pretty grim, considering he’s survived at least two end of the world “What If” scenarios and was even one of the last heroes standing during the possible bad future that Ronan showed us a glimpse of in Maximum Security.

*Abso-freaking-lutely.* In fact, I think the most important asset of this game _(among its many, like mechanics and graphics)_ is preciselly the music. It was so pumping! Like, everytime you heard any of the tracks, you could feel the *intensity* of the struggles your characters were facing! The hard battles, the hordes of aliens, the pain and frustration... you and the characters were feeling that TOGETHER! _Ahhh...! This one of my all time favourite games, I don't care what anyone else says._

Damn, I remember this game very well. Had it on the Gamecube and remember it being frustrating as all hell, but fun at the same time. Obviously being a Spider-Man fan, I just loved the way Spidey was presented in this game. Very cocky and badass, just the way he should be. "Ya know what we call that? We call that a web-slinging ass-kickin'!" Lol. I also highly enjoyed the music and overall versus match-mode just to unlock all the characters. Hell, I spent more time with versus-matches than the actual story at hand.

This game was like a horror super hero game to me when i was a kid. Its just so dark and depressing with 3 iconic heroes getting killed off and the aliens seeming to take over the world while our heroes struggle to fight back and get killed off or turned against one by one throughout the story. I wish it gotten the sequel to see how the story finished as theres so much to speculate on. Good memories

It's crazy to think that all of that was created by Van Roekel and what he labels _"a handful of resistance fighters"._ If they alone could create all this, *what the hell do the "refugees" that conquered his planet have in their armory?* Like, damn! All this stuff wasn't considered enough for Roekel, he thought a mass produced clone army of Paragon was the only way they would win. So how advanced and powerful are those bastards?! *_I wish this got a sequel..._* 😔

Honestly, this game did not age well. I remember being amazed by the game's graphics and gameplay during the mid 2000's. But now the gameplay is unbalanced, I hate how you drain the power meter too quickly only to recharge for over 2-3 hours long and the graphics are pretty ugly (though still better than Marvel vs Capcom Infinite).

Remember when their health was in "Danger" mode and that was practically the announcement of a "Finish Him"? I played it on the PS2 and you had to hold down L1 and press O, instant death, in the Thing's case he slams the enemy on the ground like 4 times.

Experienced that a lot when playing. XD I think he only ever went straight for me, like, _twice? _*_Ever?_* 😂 Maybe they should've coded an initial behavior for the Thing to just charge ahead first, *then* let the AI do whatever. But, meh, it was still a funny occurence.

@@nicholasgoodard5746 things slams are broken, Spiderman on the bridge map is straight death,iron man is op,wolverine damage is insane,Venom is spiderman with max weight,human torch is kinda meh weaker iron man,Daredevils okay pretty much a weaker spiderman,elektra combos are great,storm was great and zoning, Magneto is fucking broken, Brigade is good if the opponent is dumb,paragon is op,wink is great in close quarters,shockwave or whatever her name is she Is basically a weaker but faster thing,hazmat is literally just spiderman slightly weaker with acid, solara is a better human torch,Johnny ohm is pretty top tier,Niles is also top tier Top tiers Spiderman,Iron man,Venom,Niles,Paragon,magneto,solara Everyone else is about the same

There was a comic book series based on The Imperfects in this game, but since this game didn't sell well, Marvel has since said that they doubt they'll do anything with them again. They ARE great characters though, especially Brigade and The Wink.

this game is cool, but damn it's frustrating at times. I was on a magneto mission in the alleys and on low health with two enemies left, so I threw a tank at them. it said victory at first, but then the tank blew up and killed me. what's worse is the game counted that, so I had to start over. funny now but as a kid that was frustrating😂.

I feel like they made Hulk die too easily. I've seen that dude in multiple events stabbed, beaten to literally near death, and much gruesome stuff. To see him die to one attack like that feels like they were good at implementing the aliens power but at the same time did the hulk dirty

Hulk survived a lot of horrendous injuries, such as having his entire skin burned off only to regenerate it within seconds, surviving decapitations among others yet here he got taken out by a measly energy blast from an alien drone

I really loved this game. The gameplay was fun and the story was unique. The graphics were very good for the time. The colors and soundtrack were very 'Dark City'. It was great.

I always will love this game Marvel Nemesis is a underrated game I love how serious and dark atmospheric the game is and the Imperfects backstories are unsettling I believe this game inspired Injustice I wish we had a Marvel game like this again.

Loved this game as a child, played all the way to Elektra story line (which was very early in the game), but then the disk gave up on me and I'm unable to finish the game until now.... Friggin disk man....
