I recently rewatched Iron Fist, & season 2 ended with Danny being stripped of the Iron Fist and deciding to search for Orson. Colleen is the current Iron Fist but they show him in possession of special guns that belonged to Orson which seem to give Danny access to the power of the Iron Fist. If they bring back Finn, then i hope they bring back Jessica too.

To be fair, the old 1 piece open chest suit was always ugly, it's like 80s aerobics ugly. The newer full body suit or just design closer to Chinese tradition, even the dual pistol tactical or Gi.

Finn Jones took a lot of the criticism for something that wasn't his fault. The rushed into production and didn't give time for training and preparation. And then expected him to train and carry a series at the same time. That was a lot to ask. The chemistry between him and Colleen is great. Let it happen!

That was Finn's excuse. The stunt coordinator said Finn wasn't interested and never showed up to learn. Jessica Hardwick, on the other hand, put in a lot of work. Consequently, her scenes were so much better.

@@dasc0yne I had heard that but the difference is that Jessica wasn't carrying a series and didn't have the workload Finn had. She had more time to train. He did not. Plus, producers could have worked that into his schedule and pay but they didn't either. They threw season one together and it showed. Season two was much better.

@@thefirefallnetworkBelieve or not, Iron Fist Season 1 was the very first Netflix-Marvel TV show I ever watched. I started watching it because of all the criticism I heard about it. Tell you what, I loved it! And I thought: if this is the worst, I can't imagine how amazing the other series can be. That's how I started to catch up with all of the Netflix shows, which I now miss a lot. I'm so glad they're bringing those characters back!

Finn Jones said when he shot iron fist season one he was learning the fight choreography on the day they shot it sometimes the show failed him a little bit even tho it took so long to come out

Or just wear the suit and let a stuntman cook. An actor has to act, not be required to have all the skills a character has. Charlie Cox can't do a single flip, it doesn't stop him from being an amazing Daredevil.

Its good Finn is coming back now. It wasn't all his fault how the Iron Fist show went down. Scott Buck was in charge and he's well known for running shows into the ground.

@@Iwillone Yeah season 2 was much improved! Although it can still be much, much better. If they do bring Finn Jones back, which I'm totally open to, I really really hope they can bring Tom Pelphrey back as well! He is a phenomenal actor.

I agree. People wanna blame Finn for the problems, and when they find out that it's Netflix's poor planning that led to the bad choreography... They just default to "he's bad at acting" but never have an example. His cameo in Luke Cage was super awesome!!!

That was Finn's excuse. The shows stunt coordinator, Brett Chan, said Finn had no interest in learning or practice. On the other hand, Jessica Henwick put in the work, and consequently, her scenes were better.

I diffidently want all the defenders to return: Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and of course Punisher. I'm glad Disney is bringing the band back together, and I'm glad to see Heroes for Hire. I'm okay with Colleen WIng / Jessica Hemwick is still gonna be in the series. I want to pick up where we left off and have both Colleen and Danny on the journey's that lead them back together again as two Iron Fist's both in costumes'. Danny following the trail of the deceased Iron Fist and leading him to Randall and learning the history of the Iron Fist's and Collen on a similar path that leads to Randall as well when they'll meet again. I like them together as a team and a couple. :)

ALL Defenders actors, except F.Jones, are highly anticipated to reprise their roles. IRON FIST should be recast with someone with impressive martial arts skills (F.Jones, a non-martial artist/athlete, was a an obvious terrible casting for Iron Fist)

At first I didn't want Finn back, but he seems committed and I was really impressed with his improvement in Season 2 of the Netflix show. Give him another chance and let him get the same fight training and choreography as Shang Chi and I think we could get some electrifying Iron Fist action. Shang Chi could be theaters and Iron Fist could be TV and they could overlap. I'm here for it.

Finn Jones as Iron Fist wasn't particularly bad at the role and I think that they should bring him back if Anson Mount could come back and do Black Bolt justice then so can Finn Jones.

Did I think they could have cast someone more appropriate? Sure. Should they recast now? No. Just do better fight choreography, it's not rocket science. You only have to look at Colin Firth fighting Hugh Grant in Bridget Jones and then see him in the church educating evangelists in Kingsman to see the most improbable people can look amazing in a fight scene.

@@jonevansauthor more appropriate. What do you mean? Better fighter? If so Scott Adkins is a great fighter maybe too old. Taylor Lautner can apparently fight so maybe him as Danny Rand. Sure he's not white but still if that's what you are going for. Still fighting choreography can be trained.

Honestly, I didn’t mind the original series, I mean it wasn’t great like Daredevil or punisher but it was ok, as unpopular as that might seem. Compared to the new D+ series it was actually pretty good.

Danny Rand... It seems like he could be repurposed into a more broadly useful kind of character. Not this weird, forced Mary-Sue super weapon kind of portrayal we were largely treated to via Netflix. Firstly, make him a victim of the snap. This wouldn't just be a quick, reasonable explanation for his absence, but would more firmly explain how/why Colleen has retained the power of the Iron Fist. Let him come back, but have a kind of identity crisis, lacking the power he came to rely on, now trying to figure out how to fit into this new world. But, then he can rationalize his specific ability to finance things, and work in the background on stuff, while finding his _personal_ purpose. Certainly, it seems like Danny needs to not just clean his house, but secure it; and I think I'd love that as an interwoven component to a larger, ensemble story arc. This also seems like a stylish way to work in some necessary eastern philosophy, especially if they're going to try to further press "Martial Arts Marvel". This would also (obviously) be a great opportunity to more earnestly tap into some significant cinematic talent from across the Asian continent. I'd love it if they could get Donnie Yen to oversee some stuff. Of course, I would love it if he were personally _in_ a Martial Arts Marvel show. I know he's done both production and directorial work. So, uh, yeah. Thoughts are wandering on this one. There's just so much room to work with, here.

Orson Randal was WW1. He used his Iron Fist Chi to resist the effects of mustard gas. NBC assets were not used during WW2. Plus Orson Randal used drugs to level down his abilities and cope with PTSD from WW1. I look forward to see him on film.

I think you might want to remember what NBC stands for. The Japanese used chemical warfare, the Nazis didn't use it on the battlefield that much because they couldn't, not because they didn't want to but they did use rather a lot elsewhere. They did, however, use it several times that are well documented. The allies made lots of biological weapons but didn't ultimately get to use them, the Japanese tried some. Finally, there were two famous incidents in which nuclear weapons were used, and you might well have heard of them. So sure, he might be a WW1 character but 'NBC assets were not used during WW2' isn't remotely accurate, sad to say.

Watching the iron fist series a second time, i was able to appreciate the show much more and ended up really loving it and loving Finn Jones as the character. Really excited hearing he'll be coming back for more! The only thing that could top this news is Tom Pephrey coming back as Ward!

Exactly. Finn was perfect. The problem was the people who never read a comic in their lives thinking Marvel was somehow dissing Asians by not making a character who uses martial arts Asian. Anybody, any skin color can learn that stuff. It has nothing to do with skin color or background. Make it comic accurate and it'll be good. Stop changing things just to please a very small population of viewers that have no idea abt comic history.

Ward returning would be pretty great. He was such an identifiable character for me. The actor, Pephrey, Did a great job of demonstrating how stressors can lead to the things he did. I'm glad they didn't make him a powered individual. Having someone who is just human, going through addiction and the trauma of a deeply messed up childhood and young adulthood. People need to see characters like him, so they don't demonize addicts as much. realizing they are a product of their environment as well as screw ups! :) They can come back and be helpful, good people, not just the guy who messes up. We have enough instances of showing that addicts can do bad. He did good. Bring him back.

I've never felt like Finn Jones was a bad Iron Fist, just that the show was bad. The writing was slow and it was similar to a CW show, I feel like they could have a more impressive show if they worked on writing and choreography. They should just slowly bring him into shows, maybe start with a feature in a show, his personality really fits what general audiences like with personalities of MARVEL characters. I would suggest introducing him in Daredevil without showing his powers(You can get him working on choreography while selling people on his character and set up whatever you need to without adding him to a fight scene) after that I may even like to see him show up in something like Spider-Man before potentially getting his own show.

I really hope finn jones gets a chance to redeem the character. during the filming they were often rushed especially in the fight choreography and it showed. Ive spoken to Finn before years ago and there were no plans to renew but now who knows

@@dasc0yne that is true. She did train much harder than Finn Jones. It probably made it easier for her as well as she does have a background in wushu and if not mistaken has a black belt in karate.

I still resent Iron Fist because I loved that character in the comics, and yet it was the only horrible Netflix MCU show.

Honestly I wouldn’t mind Finn Jones coming back as long as he took the fight choreography and training seriously so he looks more believable on screen, cause he has the look and the acting chops he just needs to work on the actual fighting

According to Raven Metzner, Finn did take his training seriously. He even made a comment on a recent Instagram post by Finn where he revealed that he got ripped for a role in a show that got scrapped (The Venery of Samantha Bird), saying how he was dedicated and put in the hard work for his training for season 2.

Honestly, I thought Marvel would recast Iron Fist. Finn Jones is a great actor, though. I hope the fight choreography is better and the writing is well polished. I want Finn to perform some of the stunts so the martial arts look more realistic. Danny Rand needs to be a likable character who is wise beyond his years. The CGI needs to be great when Iron Fist uses his powers. I will say season 2 of Iron Fist was an improvement. Hopefully, season 3 continues on this path.

I'm happy that marvel can still keep things under wraps...it also make me think what else could they be hiding.. years ago we found out about Scarlett Johannsen's secret project and nothing official after that...i mean other than secret wars, armor wars and the fantastic four everything else is still speculation at this point...like we don't know how many projects phase six will have. it looks as if they going to be doubling down on the content we got in phase 4 and 5 with projects like Ms. marvel s2, moon knight s2, thor 5, Shang chi 2, doctor strange 3, Spider-Man 4, a young avengers project.. but at this point there really is too much to do with too little projects, it would only make sense that most of the movies and series we get from now until secret wars will be some kind of team up... depending on the script of thunderbolts assuming Yelena and Bucky find out they want sentry for a new super solider serum or something like that, they could team up with zemo, sentry and maybe Kate bishop could show up too...Shuri might have to show up in Captain America 4 cause if Val gets her hands on adamantium which im assuming is connected to vibranium... she will need to make sure it ends up in the right hands... we could see the new guardians again before secret wars with the nova project, the vision quest series was supposed to be about his daughter so naturally vision could just show up in armor wars and the young avengers project, the last time we saw Okoye she was breaking Ross out after Val got him arrested and she is an enemy of wakanda so it makes sense that wherever val is that's where Okoye will want to be and at that point Val will most likely be helping kingpin so it would be safe to assume that the story will be grounded enough to include the ten rings and iron fist...im hoping John Bernthal gets his own project after daredevil born again, they could introduce ghost rider in a supernatural punisher series, blade could show up in the end...Thor 5 is definitely going to bring back Loki, Love, Hercules and maybe kid loki... if the secret project is nomad only way it's getting greenlit is if its about the multiverse avengers and most of these projects go in line with marvel sticking to the kang storyline, like shang chi 2 and the origin of the rings, Moon Knight s2 with Rama-tut, Ms. Marvel s2 could have something to do with her bangle...im hoping they could use Mister Gryphon as the villain here, the young avengers project will most likely be about nathaniel richards getting their help to fight a kang variant, doctor strange 3, and most likely nomad...these projects could be the last projects before secret wars

I like the video. Personally, I liked both seasons of Iron Fist but when I was looking at the ratings and it was bad I had to think why this show had bad ratings. I did not like how the glow looked like on his fist, I did not like the costume, I did not like the fighting, I did not like his attitude in the show and I did not like the fact it took them so long to put him with Luke Cage. Also, I liked the cast and the story that they were trying to tell. This one is really hard because I could see the Finn Jones: Iron Fist or the Colleen Wing version face Shang-Chi. However, I think they should put either one probably in Doctor Strange 3. Either way, I am happy they made a decision on Iron Fist and I am hoping they do not mess it up. Great video. Bye

I liked it too. Not liking it as much as Punisher or Daredevil isn't a fair comparison. I liked all of them 1000% more than the live action Marvel shows they made about these characters in the 80s and 90s.... I think some people are a bit spoiled about this stuff.

They always talked about the incident (Avengers 1) in the Defenders programs. Also, Agents of Shield started out purely as canon but moved off into another Universe after a couple of seasons. Everybody talked about Hammer Tech in the wild.

I've long thought the smart way to do it would be to bring back Colleen as a supporting character in Shang-Chi and use Danny either as a side character who pops in from time to time, or as glorified cannon fodder, with one last big fight where he gets to die a hero and end on a high note. The show did end with finding the body of an old Iron Fist, if I'm not misremembering, so that could be a link to whatever they might be planning for a period piece. Heroes For Hire could just be Luke Cage and Jessica Jones.

I never had a problem with Finn Jones. I just hope that if they bring him back that they get him with a martial arts coach and get a decent fight coordinator. A Heroes for Hire series with good fight choreography could be really cool. Luke Cage is a brawler and you could contrast that in the choreography against IF's martial artistry and make something really fun to watch.

I don’t know of anything with the actual actor, but I think the show left such a bad taste that people also associate the actor with the show. I would love to see Finn get another chance with the MCU understanding of the character.

I didn't love it. It was okay and I just remembered watching this video that I haven't seen the 2nd season. The fight scenes should have been better. Lewis Tan played a drunken master in the 1st season and his scene was just brilliant. I would guess that they didn't want to cast him because they knew Shang-Chi would be Asian they wanted to have a blatant distinction between the characters. They could have made Finn Jones look like a fantastic martial artist; actors do that all the time, but they didn't. I'll enjoy seeing him in the role again, I just hope that everyone puts in the work to make him look good. @@DakotaActually

I just want Heroes for Hire, the little bit of Luke and Danny we got together was great and it felt like that could naturally progress into Heroes Of Hire, how Danny was portrayed in Luke Cage s2 was a bit more lighthearted and goofy and it worked for his character. Just give me a whole series of those vibes, including blasting out Wu-Tang tracks. Include Colleen Wing and Misty Knight as additional private investigators. Could even have some guest stars who come in to hire the team for some additional support. Back in the day Quentin Tarantino wanted to do Heroes for Hire/Luke Cage as a film. I would love to see some of that over the top visual style for a new series like that, I think it could work really well.

I liked the Finn Jones IF. The series suffered because it was much more rushed than the other three series. They had half the time to get all the episodes done, including practicing the fights.

I don't hate Finn Jones, I'm just REALLY hoping that his martial arts training has greatly improved from where it was 5 years ago! Example. Look at this slow, sorry kick at 3:14. He's a good actor but he Never convincingly looked like a martial artist with moves like this.

Looks like the future of Iorn Fist is going to be interesting in the MCU. Looks like they're going to work to bring Danny Rand slowly back into the MCU by introducing these other versions first. Pretty much by slowly getting the trust of the public back on the character of Iron Fist and then they can properly introduce Danny Rand again!

Absolutely want to see Iron Fist crossover with Shang Chi! Iron Fist has so much potential, and I would be very open to seeing Marvel introduce multiple Iron Fists, past or present. I'd also like to see Marvel take some liberties with the lore in order to make Danny Rand work better as a street-level hero. Maybe splitting his power with Coleen could help de-power both of them a bit. Also, a billionaire with OP martial arts ability needs a compelling reason to restrict himself to combatting street-level crime and for not putting the other Defenders on his payroll.

Yeah plenty of people actually enjoyed Finn Jones as Iron Fist as well as Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Punisher, Colleen Wing, Misty Knight, Night Nurse, and Dare Devil, Kingpin... All of the characters. Include him and get it right. Get everybody their Happy Meal this time. I was good once I knew he was jamming to OutKast. Plus, I knew Shang Chi was coming too. It's a great time to be a life long comics fan that knows what's up. Just get these characters back in the mix Marvel. Thanks.💯

Finn Jones was actually a really good Danny Rand but it was his action choreography which was lacking. He was no Simu Liu with his flowing martial arts capabilities, and that's something he needs to work on to truly encapsulate the iron fist. To give the idea of a martial arts master you have to be able to flow smoothly but be damn fast with it as well

I'm excited about this. I actually really enjoyed the Iron Fist series. People harped on about all its flaws but forgot about the great stuff. It by far had the best acting - especially by the secondary characters - in all the Netflix shows. The villain was Killgrave level terrifying.

About the Iron Fist. The best thing to do with a bad Martial artist is to send to the top of the mountain to train. There is a big difference between the comic book character, his powers and what did on the screen. But they had to write a story that lasted 13 episodes. I would like to see the White Tiger. Shang Chi has a lot of martial art bad guys to play with. I think the first thing they need to do is either put Claire in Spider Man or put Michelle (Zendaya) in Daredevil or Luke Cage to tie the knot. or have Misty investigating a missing Peter Parker. I think Claire, Misty and Karen pull the pieces together. maybe have the three of them go out for dinner and bump into the Green Goblin. Turk, Patsy Walker, Hogarth and Malcolm have all paid their screen dues. The characters are rich. Would be nice to see them come back and interact. There is enough backstory on each of the supporting characters for them to have there own show. Karen Page vs Fisk could have their own comic book. Does Patsy Walker become the Hell Cat or Tigra??? It would be nice to introduce some new characters like the Black Cat. Maybe Patsy Walker vs the Black Cat. The thing about the Defenders name is now you have Namor, Doctor Strange, Valkyrie and the Hulk in the MCU. Luke, Jessica, Dany and Matt are not a part of the Avengers.

Marvel should recast Finn like they did with Ed Norton and Hulk. You have a get out of jail free card. If you want Danny Rand to be the best martial artist in the world, you go with Iko Uwais. If you have see The Raid movies you know that this guy would be unmatched in the martial artistry you could bring to the role. His acting chops might not be there so he would be a very outside the box choice. For me, the best choice by far for the role is Henry Golding. He is the perfect amount of being charming, charismatic and good actor to truly succeed in the role. He was excellent in Crazy Rich Asians and while Snake eyes was a bad movie, he wasn't bad in it. He played Rich in CRA, and played an assassin in Snake eyes. Mix the two characters together and you have a very good mix for the Iron Fist. It was a bad idea to make the Iron Fist blonde haired and blue eyed. Golding is ideal for the role and would excel massively.

His refusal to train for the roll. Then when people complained about the fights he claimed the studio just gave him 10min and of choreography before scenes. The reality was they offered months of training prior. Dude is supposed to be a master of martial arts not master of getting his ass kicked.

I'm glad that they are bringing back Finn Jones to finish the redemption that had already started in season 2 and also the people hating on Colleen Wing because they never watched Iron Fist season 2 nor know anything of the character from the comics and just jump on the if there's a female lead it must automatically be a Woketard Feminazi propaganda piece bandwagon given the current Hollyweird trends need to shill. Because that's not necessarily always the case and at least when it comes to the history of the character so far both in the MCU and the comics that hasn't been the case. Could Disney Marvel eff this up as they have most of what they have produced since Endgame? Sure! But given what we are are currently seeing with Daredevil Born Again showcases that's not necessarily at all the case. Let's be cautiously optimistic at least instead of jumping on bandwagons.

Terribly bad At choreographed fights. Like if they would’ve just substituted another actor during the fights, even if it was completely obvious. It would still be better than the hot garbage we got. Just never show his face during the fights, give him the half mask, boom problem solved

The real problem for I.F were two. 1. They never fully committed to the magic stuff, thank Loeb. 2. Yeah, the choreography was lacking. Follow through, do the Matt Fraction story which they drew so MUCH from the Fraction arch, have Danny get to I.F white suit. Yeah, idk I think they'll use the B.C I.F since they're gonna do Bashenga, just makes sense, BUT! I do want to see Orson.

I would like them to reveal Danny is not fully worthy and didn't deserve the power, which is why he is literally iron fist (only has ONE iron fist) and that the excess power was transferred to to Coleen who is worthy. (And that the final teaser scene was in a what if)

I like Finn's idea. I think a 'Heroes for Hire' or 'Power Man & Iron Fist' series with Danny Luke Jess Colleen Misty etc ensemble cast is the best way to go for the Netflix characters (other than Daredevil who should keep a solo series). If we had an Iron Fist solo series I think an anthology with each season following a different fist would be fun

First, I really liked how they started to develop Danny Rand in the first season. Second, I did not like the second season of Iron Fist for a number of reasons. It really seemed at times that they had a lot of "filler" footage in the show, more so in the second season that really did not need to be in it. Like there were some really dull moments that kept creeping in and it was confusing why these things moved so slowly. Then there was this massive loss of confidence in Danny that was so annoying at times I found myself turning off the show for a bit and coming back to it later. Then, Colleen got her Iron Fist entirely too early in the story of Danny Rand and it really put me off to his actual importance when he can just keep sharing this power if he wanted and make an army of Iron Fist, completely negating his own importance as the Fist. I also saw some of this with Luke Cage, where there was a lot of filler that really didn't need to be in the show to enjoy it. I think what needs to happen is instead of having their own shows, they should just make Power man and Iron Fist. The dynamic would be much more interesting and more fun to watch the two of them take down enemies while working on their friendship. I mean really, these two are meant to be a team, why have them separate anyways?

Hopefully when we get Finn Jones back I want him to grow his hair a little more , actually wear the ironfist mask ,have dragon powers with glowing eyes like Hinata in the last Naruto movie that dragon power effect. And better fighting techniques even if it's a stunt double and more partnership with Luke Cage.

I really hope they bring Finn Jones back. I think it's just really silly to shift blame to the actor when a project isn't well executed. I'm sure under better writing and stunt choreography, no one would have an issue with the actor.
