That face Jon makes when asked about Lisa is outstanding acting. He goes from been chill and easy to this emotional meltdown with watery eyes in a heartbeat, but still being able to hold it enough cause Frank's way of dealing with his pain is to repress/bury it deep inside; and yet this Kid just slides right in, and manages to trow a log to keep Franks internal fire alive, either she's aware of this fact or not. Best scene of the season IMO, Bernthal is topnotch. You can tell he lives the character and stays in the zone night and day to create that uneasy state of mind, the most human punisher we've ever witnessed.

2:25-2:56 is some of the best subtle acting I’ve ever seen, how he keeps shifting his eyes to try and avoid focusing too much on the conversation, his shaky breaths, the mumbling / not being able to get any words out, how he starts shaking when he thinks about how old his daughter would have been, amazing how they turned a homicidal vigilante into one of the most human characters in the entire Marvel / Netflix canon.
@OrganicOrc3 жыл бұрын
His subtleties are amazing. He consequently looks away whenever he mentions his family. In the first episode in season 2, when the girl from the bar asks him about his ring, he breaks eye contact with her when he says he had "kids". Just on that very word. And then again when he says they're 'dead'.
