i think i just saw the best trailer of my life..

This trailer sums up in 60 seconds why Spider-Man is my favorite fictional character of all time. No matter how low he’s hit, no matter what people say about him, no matter how enormous the odds are stacked against him, he gets back up. He does the right thing. He does the impossible because he knows he must. Spider-Man is the most amazing character of all time, and nobody can top him.

Imagine if they start making movies with such cinematic animation

The fact that they included this scene in Spider-man 2 but with Miles is mindblowing

I watch this trailer pretty often. It’s oddly powerful and beautiful, it makes me feel Greater.

Hearing Aunt may tell peter to "get up" with the context of what happens in the game makes me teary eyed.

4 tears later and I still get chills

I watch this trailer once every couple months because of the powerful message of getting back up after hitting rock bottom and conquering your demons to propel yourself to greater heights. I get tears in my eyes when the man at the end talks about using self doubt as an opportunity to be greater. Easily one of my favorite game trailers of all time.

*MR. STARK, I FEEL GREATER.*

The "Be Yourself" trailer was cool, but I feel the "Be Greater" trailer encapsulates who Spider-Man is at his core in less than two minutes.

I always come back to this video because of how beautifully they show Spiderman's strength of character. Strongly reminds me of how you can pick yourself up in life and show the world what you're actually worth, regardless of the countless people who've done you wrong.

I love how in MS2 this scene was a reality but Miles was subconsciously in Peter’s shoes

i get chills every single time i hear aunt may "peter its time to get up" because it's so empowering especially as a huge spidey fan. it's basically the equivalent of hearing "don't give up" thats why i love spidey so much. what he stands for. never giving up no matter how hard you're hit.

You know what's even more captivating? The fact that he not only beat his "demons", he actually USED THEM TO PROPEL HIMSELF UPWARDS.Every single one of them. So should all of us :)

I love that this trailers means so much to all of us still watching it. We all love Spider-Man because we see ourselves in him and he’s the best part of us. Never giving up and always rising to the occasion. He’s not perfect he’s failed before but he will never ever give up and that’s what we can all learn from him.

I really love the fact that Insomniac decided to reference this trailer in Spider-Man 2 in a unique way.

Coming back to this and it's as amazing as ever. The light shine on the Spider-Man logo on his chest as Aunt May's voice says "Peter, it's time to get up" is just so powerful as it kind of symbolises Peter remembering everything that he stands for and all the voices beating him down are really not speaking the truth. Never related to Spider-Man more in my life

It’s truly sad that the voices he hears is what he believes everyone thinks of him. Although some people in New York hate spider man and view him as a vigilante or even a villain he always fights to protect everyone. That’s why he’s a true hero.

The fact that its Aunt Mays voice saying “Peter, its time to get up” hits harder when you’ve beat the game then come back to this trailer😭

I went to high school with Yuri Lowenthal, who voices Spider-Man. Always fun to hear his voice in games I play.

I watch Spider-Man when I feel down. He always has been an inspiration to me, either with studies, family problems, fake friends and others.

When it seems like you have failed it feels like you're falling off of a building and your previous failures just keep throwing you down further into your demise. But there is still one thing you must remember. To get up again and again and again. If you're agile, gain more agility. If you're brave, become fearless. If you're bold, become the boldest. If you're confident, become optimistic. And if you are great. Be Greater.

So this is what they meant by Greatness Awaits

Wanna know why I keep coming back to watch this? Spider-Man is falling, with all his self doubt, only to have his demons push him down even further, and for anyone who's played the games, knows he doesn't grunt like that in game I feel those grunts with each foe he faces, with each struggle he pushes thru, over and over. This game helped me realize I need to face my self doubt, and push more and more. Thank you Insomniac games, and thank you Peter Parker. Love, just another fan

5 years have I waited, if I was seeing yesterday's trailer 5 years ago I would have lost my mind.

This scene still hits hard after 5 years. It’s showing us how Spider-Man keeps struggling to fight and gets beat up. As he falls, every supervillain hits him. But as soon as he heard aunt mays voice, he got back up. He goes back and defeats every supervillain that hit him. That’s literally one of the greatest cinematic trailers of all time. When you just say “Spider-Man” It feels like something really cool. This is why Spider-Man is my favorite hero because he never gives up and Stan Lee is just like one of best people for creating this incredible superhero that is so great.

i love how this shows exactly what peter couldof done to his villians if he stopped holding back. he one shotted nearly everyone. Look at shocker for example. hes a whole boss battle and takes many held back hits to beat. yet if peter really stopped holding back he could one punch right through him killing him. Cant underestimate the spider-men

I love this trailer! It reminds me of why Spider-Man is my most favorite character because he’s human like everyone else. Getting beat to his lowest point only to hear Aunt May tell him ‘it’s time to get up’ runs chills up my spine. I lost my great-grandmother who kinda took the ‘Aunt May’ role in my life. Yes I have a mom, who is the best mother a guy could ask for, but my great-grandmother always made me feel special. Her last teaching I remember her telling me before she passed was, “You’re as happy as you make yourself out to be.” Meaning no one can make you truly happy but yourself. My advice: Be Greater than who you think you can be, and I can assure you, you’ll make yourself out to be a hero in everyone else’s eyes.

I like to believe this capture the true aspects of Peters character. We see him fall, lose and be hated even tough all he wants to do is help. His back against the wall figuratively and literally and in this case falling down to be splattered. In the end he gets back up, triumphs against the odds and does the right thing.
