For a VERY long time, all I could see when I closed my eyes was that first WTC tower, collapsing in seconds to dust on TV while my fellow HS seniors watched in horror around me, but after the first few decades it gets easier.

Years later, I see his intense violence as the intense pain he can never escape. I feel it myself. When we’re doing our duty, going through intense training & what not, we soldier’s lives are a blur. We do so much every day that the horrors get buried until its over & the quiet sets in. For me its like s highlight reel of blood & death that replays over & over. Im the beginning most if us, including me, bury it & self medicate. Se come from an environment of, No matter what they say, being hurt is encouraged to be pushed down & being overwhelmed with regret is weakness. I ignored it & it resulted n everything from losing my family & my 23 year relationship with my wife to prison for a short sentence for not having control of my mind anymore. I have developed great tools over the years but the dragon(as I call him) is always in the shadows, waiting to be woken up. I say this not for sympathy but for any of you out there that are dealing with mental illness. Go find help & surround yourselves with quality people that have been there. For the rest if you. Can you cut out the disrespectful ways yall treat each other these days? It sucks coming back from a society that’s thousands of years older than ours & watch our own begin the process of becoming people with small differences, kill others that they have more in common with then they realize. You will like how they're all connected in small and subtle ways. For example there are some background references to Daredevil in AOS, and Skye knows Micro and has gotten info from him.

Fun FAct: the dream sequence with Franks wife Maria... her dress is covered with small blue flowers. Forgetmenots. Maybe it is a reference to frank not forgetting his family but during my last comic book binge I came across a reference to these flowers. In the 1995 4 part comic the punisher year one. Frank is fresh with grief from losing his family. he talks about Maria planting Forgetmenots outside their family home, So many hidden references in this show so keep an eye out for them ;) Did you guys notice that Frank cut his forehead with a razor when Sara hit him with the car? sneaky Frank. lol
