I've been waitingggg since this movie came out to edit this idea I had for MONTHS and the second the movie came out on digital, you bet I started this right away and finished this in 2 days. I actually finished this a week ago but I've been so busy with school work, but now here it is!!
Also a 6 minute video?? Finished in 2 days?? This will keep y'all with something for the next few months bc imma be busy with college til the end of the semester, being a film student and working on 2 films and all LOL.
I really wanted to focus on the theme of responsibility with this one and really parallel that with the other Spider-Man origin stories. Because as we all figured out, MCU's Spidey became truly Spider-Man at the end of the film. I wanted to focus on the characterization of Peter and everything he had to learn and go through to become Spider-Man. All the grief, loss, pain, and learning to be responsible for the gift he has. TASM will always be my favorite, but No Way Home beat all of them for me.
ALSO I WAS SO HAPPY TO SEE ANDREW AGAIN LIKE I WAS SO PROUD OF HIM ?? I'm sorry but his Spider-Man is the reason why I fell in love with Spidey in the first place, so he'll always be my favorite, even though they all my fav now. 14 year old me would be so, so happy as she was so heartbroken when they fired him.
OH AND ALL THE PETER & MJ SCENES?? WHEN HE DIDNT TELL HER WHO HE WAS?? Plsss that left me so emotional. I had to add the promise Captain Stacy demanded from Peter in TASM to that scene bc that's what he realized when looking at her cut - he had to keep her out of his life to keep her safe 🥺
AND WHEN ANDREW'S SPIDEY MENTIONED GWEN AAAA pls they were my BABIES I miss them so much.
And when Tobey got stabbed 🧍‍♀️ pls I really thought that was the end of him I almost cried.
Well, I really hope y'all enjoyed! Hopefully I'll be back to posting soon, but I'll be busy with making my 2 short films for college so we'll see!
