Cap couldn't wield the gauntlet the only reason Tony could was because of his arc reactor but this is still good even more of a what if. Also when Tony puts the shield on cap he should of said "he made it for you"

This means one less person dies in the movie; Originally, Iron Man died because of the snap, and Captain America decides to begin a new life in the past and in the present, he dies of old age.

I would think more of Thanos grabs his sword throws it at Tony’s head before Tony snaps, but before Thanos can get to the gauntlet Thor’s emotions get the best of him seeing Tony die so he charges at Thanos while Steve sees the opportunity Tony was gonna take. Then Steve goes to Tony’s body and puts on the gauntlet just as Thor gets killed as well. With both of his friends dead Steve thinks of Thanos and his army disappearing and both of his friends back taking all of his power to snap.
