With the entry of the ninth-generation consoles, particularly the PS5, any other console that came before it would most likely be forgotten. One exception to this rule is PS 4. The PS4s simply sold so many units that it was declared a major hub for modern-day gaming. The PS4 Pro even raises the bar further. It might still be a more viable purchase decision than the PS5 since a majority of the games, even today, don’t possess the additional high-resolution elements that a ninth-generation console boasts. Besides, even if you have the console and the games to go with it, there's a good chance you fall short of an 8K resolution display.
