Warren is certainly one of those characters that could truly "soar" in every way _if_ he has a writer or writers that truly cared about him and used him properly within any given storyline.

@@boulaiy5870 definitely one of his finer moments also the time Callisto kidnapped him and took his wings but compared to Jean, Scott and Hank he’s never really has had a shining moment if that makes sense, PS even Iceman has had a mini series, Cheers

I don’t think having the ability to fly on its own is very impressive. This was the need for other powers to be added to him. I think he would have been better suited to being an actual angel of some form vs a mutant. Also if they tied that to historical biblical angles there could have been something interesting. He is more like a bird than a god.

@@chedderburg I like this idea. Especially if you consider him being persecuted as a “mutant”, only for it to turn out he’s actually an angelic being. Could have a Christ-like allegory if done right.

Angel had a lot of potential but it was never explored. Of course he was going to be more of a street level hero than an omega level player like Storm or Iceman. The original Angel could fly at 10,000 feet indicating he had resistance to cold and could function with little oxygen. This would explain why Angel was only immobilized when frozen by Iceman in the early X-men. He had dense muscle tissue, hollow bones, and little body fat.

When i was a teenager, back in late 70's, i read some of the first X-Men comics, Angel's only power is that he has wings and can fly. Later on, when he became archangel and got the ability to throw metallic feathers around, like daggers (obviously he's had unlimited feathers, lol), he became dangerous, in the sense that he could fight back aggressively or self defense. That's about his whole stoy. That's why he never show enough screen time. They didn't find him interesting.

yeah, you right, but they could have written his character's powers much more imo because if you're going to call him Angel, then he should have the strength of Angel and just not wings that give him the power to fly. SMH He is upgraded by the Apocalypse to the metal wings as you said, and yes he does have unlimited ability to throw them at people as daggers because as soon as they're used they're replaced by new ones. But they should rewrite or recreate this character and make him much more powerful than the lame ability that he has right now in just being able to fly and throw daggers.

Did you watch the whole video? He gets upgraded again, after Apocalypse. He didn't just suddenly have new powers...there was an event that caused the evolution to occur.

@@lake_cooper I have always liked Angel, when i was a kid, i was dreaming of being able to fly with wings, not like Superman. I was hoping we'd see more of him in the movies but they gave him very little time and made him look like a bad guy. He was one of the original X Men team, along with Beast, Marvel Girl (Jean Grey), Cyclops and Snowman (before becoming Iceman).

Ghost Rider has always been one of my favorite characters, the one on the motorcycle that is. He just rides around all badass using his power of the pennance stare on anyone and everyone, Gods not excluded.😄

The first time Warren healed someone was during the storyline when Logan became "Death"for Apocalypse. He was giving off bright glow and went around the city looking for"War"from his time as a horseman. He was in a hospital paralyzed since Apocalypse took back the power he gave him. He may have been in a coma too but Angel healed him totally

@@andrewcabral963 Yeah, Archangel is basically a Flying Tank, he's THAT tough, he once flew through a Pyramid, so Flying through a Sentinel's chest should be no problem.

I want Angel and ArcAngle persona to come to terms that life and death are both needed. Which would allow him to switch between modes. One heals and brings life and the other harms and brings death.

Okay so this is my favorite marvel character and you're not even kind of doing him a lot of justice and his fight with sabretooth sabretooth actually said that he was moving at Mach 3 and you said he can only do Mach 1 and that was right before his fight with caliban in which both he and caliban said that he had a healing factor and that was the only reason that archangel was still alive because sabertooth had poisoned him and ripped his guts out and he was still able to rip the top half of a car off stop caliban and save a lady
