She was great in marvel vs Capcom 2 as well. Between that game, and the 90s xmen cartoon, that’s how I found out how cool she is.

No. Psylocke was comatose at the Xavier institute (Gambit was with her) and had given a piece of her soul to Angel. Angel with the help of Dr. Strange offered that piece of her soul to Crimson Dawn, which then healed her body. See Uncanny x-men #330.

The Asian guys name was Quills, the girl with the clapping effect was named Arclight, and Psylocke was just.... psylocke. She's NOT asian. She is a British woman who was trapped inside an asian body for 30 years, but she's back in her ORIGINAL British body since 2018 and claimed the Captain Britain name. In the movies she was interpreted by two asian actress in her asian era. First by Mei Melançon in X3, where she plays Psylocke when she had the Crimson Dawn (The red tattoo in her eye that gave her shadow powers) and second by Olivia Munn in X:Apocalypse where she plays the old Psylocke (When Betsy was trapped in Kwannon's body, the asian body).

Kwannon was only an empath, "her powers" (Betsy's powers actually) was boosted by Betsy (when she left Kwannon's body, she left some portion of her own powers, something that Kwannon herself said that in Fallen Angels). "When Braddock left me, she took a measure of her power with her" and in other ocasion " I'm not Xavier. I can't even do what Elizabeth does". Kwannon's powers are actually Betsy's powers, if wasn't for Betsy she would still be just an empath. That's why she have Betsy's psychic butterfly signature and the psychic dagger, and why she always says that they (Betsy and Kwannon) are connected. Betsy was considered by writers an omega-level telepath, in Uncanny X-Force Vol.2 she was called the 3rd psychic most powerful on the planet. She's not omega because she has limits using BOTH powers, separately they are alfa-omega but she can't use them both together strongly. If she focuses on telepathy, her telekinesis is weakened. If she focuses on telekinesis, it is the telepathy that is weakened, like a scale. Betsy's powers are so strong that both of them (Betsy and Kwannon) uses it and it is growing on both of them.

She(Elizabeth/Psylocke) was in an asian body from the 90s til around 2018 where she reformed her caucasian body. Psylocke (Elizabeth) Is now Captain Britain of Earth-616 and Kwannon has adopted/claimed the name Psylocke.
