@Paul Blackman in 70's early 80's, boxer never use that kind of substance, because if you know boxing you know before the 90's everything from the bodybuilding world is avoid by every boxing coach because they think bodybuilding method make you slow and stiff, the first guy who really do and take bodybuilding stuff is Evander holyfield in the 90's because in every sport some type of Steroid and new muscle training ase arrive, in the 90's in every sport athlete looking bigger and test was not fully implemented in rules. Marvelous Marvin Hagler is a man who begins boxing in poverty, he work in maconry at the same time , he is a tough worker like a military, running every morning at 5am with in a pair of rangers to maintain this discipline and not becoming soft, a real spartan who maintains himself into a "WAR" mentality, not a cheater, he takes wath he gain with his heart.

My favorite fighter of all time. It's not actually close. Historically underrated. Boxers literally ducked Hagler to the point congress got involved. Nobody wanted to fight Hagler in his prime. No one. He's way more legendary than today's generation knows.. He was really that great. Watch Teddie Atlas tribute to him. It's movingly. This video hit me good. Well done.

@glennbullock14905 жыл бұрын
can anyone think of a greater example of a fighter. than hagler? dedicated (fought at one weight and made one weight. his. entire career),. mean (his mottos were WAR and DESTRUCT AND DESTROY. Nuff said), tough (nvr really been hurt, stunned briefly by the best right hand puncher in the. business, hearns), skilled (only fighter ever who could truly fight from both the right hand and southpaw stances: possessed better than average hand speed, reflexes, movement, power, arm reach, variety of punches: possessed great stamina toughness, an all time chin) and great results (was nvr clearly beaten nor truly hurt or dominated). I'm not saying hagler is the greatest fighter of all time (ray Robinson is) but I am saying he was one of the 3 best middleweights (with Robinson and monzon), and I am suggesting he is the toughest fighter to beat cleanly of all time. with the exception of the undefeated fighters, all great fighters lost cleanly at least once... except hagler. what a true great!

Cory Hill a small welterweight? Incorrect. I'm from the same city as Kell Brook, he is known to walk around at over 180 pounds. He's been talking for years about moving up in weight. The Kell Brook who fought Golovkin is the best one we will ever see because of the healthy weight, and he still got finished in five rounds. He's similar to Sugar Ray Leonard in size, Leonard was a welterweight and he beat Hagler. Brook never really pushed him back either, moments after taking shots GGG would be back on the front foot. Him and Hagler both have iron chins. Another thing your not taking into account is the skill of Kell Brook, because no middleweight has done well against GGG like that, it was Brook's skill.
