Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are a beautiful and famous duo of twins that are famous all over the world for their acting, as well as their fashion brands that have made them some of the most successful women in Hollywood and the world. The question is, how much of their beauty is natural, and how much is plastic surgery.
We will start off with Mary Kate, then go to Ashley.
Mary kate went through many body changes over the years, and it is my responsibility to say that not all changes are plastic surgery, some were extreme changes from things going on in her life. I will discuss anorexia nervosa, and some addictions that contribute to some of the features we will see through this video. Beyond that we do see some changes to her nose, lips, chin, cheeks and more multiple times. She made quite a few alterations to them repeatedly over the years. The before and afters can be quite different as you will see. At some points you can see that things got really bad.
Ashley Olsen Also has the same beautiful eyes, with their round shape and blue color. She, like her sister, has great bone structure, and forward growth. Ashley started early with some fillers, likely restylane, and used them for years. Later, she got a nose job that was done very well. She also got some changes to her cheeks, nose again, cheeks again, nose, and fillers and botox through the years.
Both sisters came to fame at an early age, eyes were on them every single day. That pressure is immense at any age. They never had a moment of their lives where they were not famous. The Hollywood lifestyle sent them into some spirals in their life, but, luckily they have come out successful and are continuing to create new projects and work on new things.
About the sisters:
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are likely the most famous twins alive today. Starting their acting career at 9 month sold, they have had continual work for their whole lives. They were most famous for their role in the sit-com Full House. They also grew up to create fashion brands that have sold worldwide and made them a massive fortune. Their style was considered a “homeless look” which is like an ironic rich person take on a homeless person. The clothes were loose, baggy, and messy. They later started a clothing line for girls that was sold at walmart called “Mary-kate and Ashley: real fashion for real girls”. They also started a fashion label called The Row, , under which they have released multiple collections that have won many awards. Overall, they are worth an estimated $250 million each. This makes the sisters some of the most successful celebrities of all time.

I agree, I think buccal fat removal is a great procedure for FEW people. I do think it was a great move for Kelly Osbourne. But find it unnecessary for the Olsen twins. I don't think it's worth it for most people because it almost always makes you look so much older.
@Introvertsan

I think it's a bad idea for most people as it makes them look older. They would look just like that anyways once they get much older so they would just be older women who are pretty with chiselled cheeks. They are starting the ageing process early with it.

I am 32 and baby faced and it makes me so sad that being in the public eye made these women miss out in the chance to see their faces age naturally. Your bone structure starts to come out more as you get into your 30s but you still look younger than your age; it's really worth waiting through and I have enjoyed watching my face evolve naturally. But in the public eye, the pressure and ability to look perfect RN cheats a lot of people out aging into their beauty

Hot take but I personally think that they were trying to go for that "editorial/fashion" look, strong features, bone structure enhanced, pale blank canvas face, you know, like euro runway models. That said, their younger faces were so small and delicate, but very all American white GIRL, which fashion hates so much. They would've aged just that way i think, soft features, a bit droopy eyes bc of age, small lips, puffy cheeks. Basic American beauty look. Fame really affected them, but not as much as the fashion world, imagine what tables they have sat on who their friends are. Even their boyfriends have been strangely older in age for them. Their sister is a prime example of the look they wanted to go for, because she's very womanly, not childlike face features. Sad but true.

MK was also constantly compared to Ashley as a child and called the “tomboy” (masc) of the twins when she was a preteen/teenager. I’m sure that contributed to many of her insecurities and may have even made her feel like weight was a critical thing to control, especially keeping a lower weight than her twin. If you haven’t seen a 2006 documentary called Thin, a twin girl named Shelly reveals this affected her eating habits a lot.

that’s probably because only one of them is a naturally born female (Ashley)and the other is transgender(Mary-Kate). Their parents wanted them both to be girls to gain popularity in Hollywood and for acting so they transitioned the male at a young age. It looked really natural because the male never went through puberty.

I had to comment because this is personal. I understand why they went under the knife! As a baby faced girl myself. When you have that young, doll like beauty your usually told your cute, which women hate. I know that they were going for a more sophisticated look because they’ve probably been told that their cute all their life. But after learning about Kibbe body types and seeing that there are gorgeous women in every type it really helped me to rock the look that I have instead of chasing after someone else’s body type. I wish they would have just rocked their look! Hey there might be more mature looking women that want a pretty dollish face!

It’s because we’re all at war with ourselves. The Bible says we fight against principalities of darkness not flesh. This means we fight against demons not humans. They speak to all of us. So do angels. Just try to shut your thoughts off, you can’t because we all hear 3 voices when we’re younger. God, Demons, or you. You choose which one you listen to and the other will disappear. He makes us hate ourselves man, we’re in a war. We’re in a spiritual war, all of us.

Not gonna lie - this channel makes me love my natural features like hooded eyes etc and I LOVE IT because I also have destructive thoughts sometimes. This exposed procedures makes me wanna stay natural and don’t make these mistakes like a lot of ‚way more beautiful stars‘ did to their beautiful face. These videos show that Hollywood and Media really can infiltrate even the most beautiful stars with destructive mindset so they pay that much money to take away their beauty. And I believe they never wanted to look that way and wanna their beauty back. A lot of plastic surgery and procedures are irreversible. People must be aware of this!

I always thought their appearances, particularly Mary Kate’s, were aesthetically driven. There’s Hollywood beauty standards, then there’s the fashion industry beauty standards, and while the two might mingle, there are distinct differences. In the fashion industry looking a little older, gaunt, and “weathered” seems to be chic, rather than a faux pas. I’ve seen fashion world women with ratty hair, wrinkled sun beaten skin, and malnutrition to combat the most poverty stricken. And they’re just dripping in runway chic. I’ve seen the twins carrying destroyed, vintage, Birkins, something the tabloid sect might be apprehensive to rock. I think they’re aesthetic visionaries and they merge body with clothes to really drive the image home. It’s dramatic and narrative. I don’t doubt they’re pleased with their looks, because they certainly have enough money to compete with the best of em.

Sadly the Olsen twins were separated from their mother (their primary care giver) while they were filming Full House in ways we would say now view (in retrospect) as trauma inducing. I appreciate Lorry mentioning this at the end - they’ve been through so much. In all the work they’ve done, they did not get breast implants although they are notably small chested. Not that I’d expect them to, I just think it’s notable (and it’s okay to be small chested, even in Hollywood!). Watching this video reminded me just how INCREDIBLY beautiful they both are. I remember as a kid how gorgeous I thought they were when I'd watch their movies from when they were teens. It's crazy how different they look and how much older considering they're only about a decade older than I am. It truly does make me sad seeing so many in Hollywood that are stunning but alter their appearance beyond recognition almost. Especially when done a such a young age. Not saying people shouldn't be allowed to get surgery if they choose, but it should come from a genuine personal place and not societal pressure which I think it almost always is.

Thank you for explaining the Olsen Twins plastic surgeries, especially Mary Kate’s. As more and more child stars come out with the abuse they dealt with as kids into adults, helps us understand what they felt like they needed to do to measure up to the industry standards. It also explains why the Olsen Twins have lived more of a private life. They are obviously extremely talented and I agree, I’ve always loved their fashion sense. My heart goes out to this pair for the long term affects of being brought into the spotlight at such a young age. I wonder if this is also the reason for some of Mary Kate’s more drastic surgeries - she was attempting to lose the baby face that she is so so well know for.

This was a really good video. I don't say this to be critical, I understand ppl have issues, that said Mary Kate in particular looks like she's well into her 50s. I'm sure the smoking and ED/low body weight haven't "helped," but there's something to be said for the way buccal fat removal ages the face in an unflattering way later on. This has permanently convinced me not to get one, and I was really considering it. I was also suggested cheek implants instead by the surgeons i consulted with and this video showed the importance of maintaining a healthy amount of facial fat if i proceed, so thank you for the info

Her body weight fluctuations and alleged drug use are the main contributors to why sometimes, she looks very gaunt in the face. Smoking was the only thing she could confirm, but word on the street is she is on much harder substances. In one of the pictures in this video she is in a very bright setting, and her pupils are the size of dimes. That tells me she’s on more than cigarettes. If you want a more sculpted look, that will get more refined with time, bucal fat removal may be a good option. If you want to maintain a youthful appearance, cheek implants may enhance your face without aging you.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olson claimed they're Sonoran twins. (the female version of fraternal twins), which means that they would share the DNA similarities of siblings. In simpler terms, it means that they shouldn't look like one another's clone. And yet, weirdly, they do. A doctor told them that backnin the day, so til this day they still believe it.

@@808G8GT it’s not surprising they look so alike considering all the Olsen children look eerily identical when looking at them all at the same ages lol. @@808G8GT It depends on how the doctors determined this. Because during pregnancy, identical twins can have a separate placenta but since it’s more commonly a characteristic of fraternal twins, some can jump to a wrong conclusion. If they did a DNA test then there is no risks of being wrong.

I absolutely adored their films and tv shows growing up. They had such a natural girl next door beauty before. I forgot how beautiful and big their eyes were/are. I honestly thought they were in their mid 40s or something. The 2000s were tough for young women growing up in the entertainment business.

A mid 40's person do not look that way, lol. The bad plastic surgeries did that to them, also the massive use of cigarette, eating disoders and lyme disease. Ashley still looks way better than Mary Kate,if she cared for herself, she would not be that way.

I remember watching them as a child and honestly had forgotten about them for a lot of my teen years. I saw a picture of them and could still recognize Ashley, but not really Mary Kate. Of course I know nothing of their lives nor judge them for their decisions, but I won't lie the pictures made me sad. People change as they age, but I was really really surprised.

I genuinely believe this is a case of having too much money and access to play with. They were so naturally gorgeous and didn’t need a thing done. But when you have the means it’s like hey why not experiment.

I get the feeling that they were sick of being reminded of their cute kid stage on TV, and also felt that their faces didn't look "grown up" enough. They really did have very child-like faces. I think they wanted to be taken more seriously and hanging out in the fashion scene with a lot of models, they probably felt their faces were too cutesy, chubby cheeked, and not sophisticated and model-like. They were trying to be seen as serious high fashion designers, running a business. With their chubby child faces and short height, I imagine some people in business not taking them seriously.

@@SY-ok2dq absolutely as a person with a similar bone structure. People do tend treat you more kid like, or like a cute puppy. The Olsen twins are a similar age to me but I learned embrace it. Like bc you look a certain way you can get away with being cute, dressing cutesy however this will make you look more child like. I also think plastic surgery is generic in someways, being proportionately petite means you have a smaller bone structure all round. So those cheek implants look huge on them. And there are certain realistic limitations in plastic surgery. Classic style is recommended for those who have a more ingenue appearance. As it helps you look more older. And definitely see they have honed that. It maybe they are trying to mold themselves to certain ideal or at least someone in their mind. To me I would have left the plastic surgery out of it. And just focus on style.

They were very pressured by beauty standards too. Mary Katy has an eating disorder since 2001/2002 and they always seemed to not like their own bodies for being too small(not only the height, but the weight and curves, like having small breasts and butts),considering the things they said on past interviews.

I love the comparisons of twins. In the past, lots of experiments and studies used twins. That being said, I learned some things from Mary-Kate and Ashley: 1) people generally look older when they're skinnier, 2) too much plastic surgery (especially the wrong procedures) can really age a person, 3) don't smoke if you want good skin.

@@ashleyjudd1789 I think when skinniness leans gaunt is when it ages you drastically. Looking like bones just isn’t youthful. Appearing gaunt is usually a result of bad habits over years and not just thinness. I think natural and healthy no matter the size stands a better chance of looking younger, as may be your case.
