These are very, very, minor compared to recent movie mistakes, such as in the Matrix when there was a reflection of the camera in the doorknob. I might even say the Mary Poppins movie is practically perfect....in every way.

No matter what mistakes there were I think Marry Poppins was absolutely marvelous. I am looking forward to seeing its sequel Marry Poppin Returns where the Banks children are grown up with grown-up situations of their own. Welcome back Marry Poppins.

There's a huge one you overlooked & very easy to spot- when Mary is reading the ad to Mr. Banks when she first arrives, her gloves change colors: they are white, but in the close-up where she has the ad in her hand, her gloves are black(or dark navy)..... look at that scene again, you can't miss it.

Most of these can be explained by the simple fact that the actors moved in between camera angles, on the grounds that time was progressing normally. The actors aren't frozen to the spot when the camera isn't on them, people shuffle about and move handbags from hands to arms etc...

It wasn’t that they couldn’t find female extras, but that the nannies needed to be stunt men due to the way Mary Poppins dispatched them. There weren’t as many stunt women working in the ‘60s as there are now.

You missed the most glaring mistake in the entire film: During "Spoonful of Sugar: Mary Poppins reaches her arm out the window and when she pulls it in a robin in perched on her finger...no problem? Well yes...a BIG problem. It is an AMERICAN robin which is about 5 times the size of an ENGLISH robin! Julie Andrews certainly picked up this one!

if you notice shortly after Mary first arrives, she is reading the "ad" from the children out loud to Mr. Banks, her gloves are whitish-grey. then, when they show a close up of the letter/ad in Mary's hand, her gloves are dark navy-bluish or black!

I found a movie mistake in marry poppins when the drawing sene when the camera turn to a spot an umbrella is on the bench in the backround but after the camra comes back the umbrella is gone

you missed one - when Mary is reading the list at the beginning her gloves are light grey - but when we see a close up of her hands, the gloves have changed colour and are now bluey black

Apparently that was the lighting... the paper was backlit so you could see all the tears in it, which meant her hands were backlit too and it made them look dark.

The purpose of "getting it right" in the movies is to eliminate distractions so the audience can focus on the action, (physical or dramatic). If you watch a movie looking for minutia like this, you will have distracted yourself from the main action. that's the opposite of "getting it right".

Google, for the most part. Various people have posted something about one or more of these, but a comprehensive list probably isn't. Consolidating multiple finds by various people into one list is easier than watching the movie with a fine-toothed comb and a magnifying glass.

There is the part where she is reading the letter and when you see her holding it she has white gloves on but when.you see the letter from he point of view she is wearing black ones. When the camera goes back to its original view she is wearing white ones again.
