Dick Van Dyke & company virtually channel the future of banking instability AND ITS CAUSES in this wonderful Mary Poppins scene. The original scene from the movie is "pactically perfect in every way", but I wanted to have some fun. [Some say this is not a really great movie... but I've completely changed my mind: it's like a bank full of sugar.]

Walt Disney actually did multi generational damage with all this. Why? Because he should have shown that opening, and by adding to your savings, you would not only be a part of what makes the world operate. But more importantly, to help yourself with financial security. And to develop and instill thrifty habits. Which we all need to survive. Financial institutions have gotten worse in the last 60 years. Mainly because they are no longer local, and community centered. Regardless, thrift and savings, are still the only way for the average person, {that's US}, to survive. So take this to heart, no matter what your age. BTW, you can still feed the birds with any interest you accrue. A win-win!

Has anyone noticed the major flaw in this scene? If you look in certain scenes, the door to the bank is closed, and the curtains on the windows appeared to be drawn. If this was how it was, how the hell would the people outside at 2:03 been able to tell what was happening inside if it was blocked?

This reminds me of the scene of the stock market crash rush on the bank in It's A Wonderful with Jimmy Stewart. In that, they save the town through some kind of co-operative, I think.

The banks are worse and the people more gelable it's some sort of function gelability/ creditability one being inversely proportionate to the other.

Withdrawal fee !. . It had not actually been paid in because no receipt had been issued; they still had it. . Maybe, yes, you're right; the laws are different in California; you have to pay before you even enter the bank! o0o
