Mary Todd Lincoln was born on December 13, 1818, in Lexington, Kentucky. She married politician and lawyer Abraham Lincoln on November 4, 1842. When the Civil War began, Mary's family supported the South, but she remained a fervent Unionist. After her husband's assassination, Mary fell into a deep depression and her surviving son, Robert Todd Lincoln, had her temporarily committed. She died in 1882. #Biography

Wow we don’t realize the impact to the people that actually experienced that trauma that she wanted to end her life twice after she lost her beloved husband he did say she was the wonder of her of his life…. Sometimes we focus so much on the hero that we forget about the people that lifted him up and loved him and they just become props on a shelf we don’t realize the suffering they experience or have compassion for them as human beings either… this was very revealing thank you lots of information and a very short concise video… 🌈👍🤍😍

I just read a history book and gave some insight. check me out. It was about lincoln and his sorry wife. ugh. I just can't with Mary Todd...I just can't!
