@@briancarter3936 I half agree. Singing got way worse, dancing & choreography got way better. Have you seen any of the Tony Awards ceremonies since 1990? Since 1930s, MOST actors have been trained in acting, singing and dancing. Dancers & chreographies for stage and TV is 100x better since 1990 than in anything on TV in 1960s & 70s. (except for Bob Fosse and a few others). But singing after 1980 is awful. This choreography by post-1990 standards is laughable. but the singing is better, she had a good solid forward voice. Today broadway singing is UGLY... B Peters, P Lupone,, S Foster, C Chenowith... vomit inducing. The song itself is not great musically, low grade Rodgers & Hart.

Beautiful, unique voice❤️I wonder if she’s a soprano, and so that is the reason why her voice blended so well with Julie Andrews

This does not make best use of her talents. ok singing and great dancing but weird choreography & unclear concept. What was the point exactly? Men were always abusive? Men were too interested in the dance AND not interested enough at the same time? If the guy was a great dancer, he would probably not be her "hero" that she's dreaming of. The first man mistreats her, like if she was a broom, in 2022, all I see is the abuse, but in 1964, the purpose was to show off her physical prowess. It would have turned me off social dancing for life.
