As a female surfer in a Muslim country, Maryam spent much of her life fighting for respect in a man’s world-and she’s gone far beyond what anyone could have expected. It was through sheer grit and strength that she paved the way for her surfing life and it's clear to see her passion for the sport and love for her home.
