This topic has made rounds on different channels lately, I like how the ladies balanced the discussion,,, not talking for one side.. My view: when you relocate to a new environment, HAVE AN OPEN MIND AND BE READY/WILLING TO ADAPT TO THE NEW ENVIRONMENT. That way you will have less challenges in the new place. For instance:if in Uganda men don't participate in domestic chores coz that's how culture is, when you go to a new place where you as a man are required to participate in domestic chores don't be rigid, adjust... Unless you are going to provide for the family (the biggest part/pay all bills) but if the woman has to take care of the bills approximately same as you or even more, then things are not going to go well.

We help out women, but I was married to a Jamaican. These women have trauma from their childhood. They never got help to heal their trauma, now they destroy men's lives due to this. It's beyond men's control. I took care of my house, took care of my kids. I wanted a family more than anything but she wanted to have her cake and eat it. Am single and take care of my kids in a healthier environment. Until I find a woman who is on the same page. I would rather be single till the right person comes along.

To me I think , some men naturally bajozi , just like how they enjoy there life home with multiple women, here we share the bills we save the money together and the man goes around to sleep with different girls and giving out our savings which is very disrespective, on top of that men are very rigid because if we all go and work the same hours omusajja kimujjako ki to come back and help you with house cores and kids , we all come back home very tired and he sits at the table to wait for food , shower and sleep and he leaves all the work with kids to the wife

I want to give more clarification on this topic flavia. There are three types of relationship.(1)is where a man and a woman peacefully agrees to share responsilities 50/50 i mean, if awoman breastfed in the morning a man bottle-fed in the night, if a woman washes dishes, the man has to do the same.they have to pay rent together and the list goes on...the duration of this marriage me and you i don't know.... (2) is when a man takes responsibilities of everything to his family which has everything what that man desires from his family without complaining and living together peacefully.....this allows a woman to have time for her family and respect to her husband and even if this woman is working she will not strain to hard to provide for her family but only to give a helping hand to her husband.... (3)is when a woman works too hard to provide for the family. In hear the man is the helping hand to this woman so this turns out that a woman is the head of the family and i assure you this man will never gain any respect as a man.Men suck to take care of, they are like babies so with this working woman will never fulfil both or if she trys so hard her soul will bleed filled with anger, sadness and so on and that's where the war begins so,these are men putting blame to women mbu they are bad, don't respect men and more. So,my advise goes to both Men and women know yourself and what you want before any relationship to avoid these unnecessary complains and harming each other. And my last word to men, please, stop being so lazy, work so hard to retain your respect in a relationship or before embarking on that journey.you are mean't to look for money. You have all the chances, time, energy than a woman to look for money.Money and respect is everything to a man..

I cook better than my wife, funny thing she's from Africa and got her from Africa but even her she was surprised that I could almost by myself and that I was self sufficient. Her parents came to visit and were very surprised how self sufficient I was but it's tiring sometimes and wish I had an African lifestyle where everything is done for me especially breakfast and all I have is to go out to work and provide for the family but here in diaspora it's hard to have such a life because we don't have maids and time. Men in diaspora need to be patient and understanding but also proactive otherwise your marriage won't survive. Another thing most women taken from diaspora have financial commitments to their own family back home and men need to accept that I guess
