Күн бұрын

The Masai Mara is a world-famous national nature reserve in Kenya, Africa, and a wildlife paradise of unmatched scale and beauty. It is best known for its safaris and exceptionally high concentration of lion, leopard, elephant, African buffalo, and cheetah, all co-existing in an incredibly beautiful area in the Rift Valley Province. Wildlife conservationists flock here every year to witness events such as the great wildebeest migration. This wilderness park was named after the Maasai people who are the area's ancestral inhabitants.

This safari travel film shows our family adventure finding multiple prides of lions with their playful lion cub babies, the "Fast Five" group of five Cheetahs hunting together (or "Tano Bora" as they are locally known) with a surprising outcome, a leopard mother and her baby joyfully reuniting after days of separation, and mysterious elephants and zebras in the early morning fog of a sunrise game drive.
► Who are we, you ask?
Well, thanks for asking. We are Georg, Tara, Liv and Bodhi, a German-American family living in Colorado in the United States. We love traveling, visual storytelling and connecting with people and the planet. The word "Fernweh" in our channel name is German and translates to "the ache for distant places"; it summarizes our urge to travel and explore this bright blue dot we call home.

I love how you teach your kids to interact with locals who look different than them, that's how you raise all rounded people who can blend in any culture without disrespecting anyone..
@rovhalt6650
@rovhalt6650 Жыл бұрын
It's also how you wipe out your own kind. It all seems like a nice and good idea until your "all rounded" children get children of their own. Children who speak and look nothing like you. All because of their confusing brainwashed upbringing and lack of respect for their own culture and value on the planet. I'd rather teach my children to think properly and make them understand the importance of other cultures aswell as their own, on a deeper logical and reasonable level than have them brainwashed into a "tolerant" mindset by have them wandering around in the world from a young age far far away from their own culture and roots so they will never feel at home or at peace with their own people. We get it. We're all human. But you don't have to grow up together with other ethnicities or be forced into a multicultural travelling life to learn how to be tolerant and understand other people. You just have to be relatively intelligent and realise your culture and people isn't the only one on the planet. And it would be a darn boring planet if it was. I'm on perfectly good terms with people of all ethnicities backgrounds and cultures despite being an "evil racist" scandinavian nationalist. That's because of something called "mutual respect". Ironically enough I am more respected by arab and african immigrants in comparison to liberals and all the so called "anti racists" who they can't stand.

I'm just sitting here in tears, in my apartment in New York, staring out into the room. I feel like I have to gather my thoughts before I try to articulate how I'm feeling after watching this film. This is the most beautiful video I've ever seen on KZfaq. I'm so full of emotions after watching this, happy, curious, excited, relieved, and inspired. I just turned 30, I'm from Norway, but I have lived in New York for the last 10 years. I've traveled to 30 countries, and my dream is to continue exploring the world while telling beautiful stories like this! The society clock is telling us to have kids and settle down etc. I'm definitely not ready to settle down, but this video really gave me hope that you can continue traveling with kids! But until I'm ready for kids, I will continue watching your beautiful videos, and hopefully one day I find myself reliving one of your journeys ❤ X Camilla

I just came across this video..as a Kenyan, I have NEVER seen anything more beautiful...from the video editing, to the beautiful animals, the breathtaking Mara, your beautiful family, the precious Maasai culture. I had to call my daughter to see this. Oh My! I've watched many breathtaking videos but this one tops them all! Actually it could easily pass for a movie.! Good Job. Growing up whenever I went to the village with my family through Naivasha, we saw animals, all kinds of beautiful animals, that was in the 70s. They used to come close to the road, no one disturbed them, we were used to them. Sadly over the years the animals just vanished...now we only see Zebras and Monkeys..I wonder if they were deliberately relocated to the reserves like the Mara. Thank you for showing the world my beautiful country!
@FernwehChronicles

An awesome video. I've been watching alot of videos about Kenya recently. I was born & lived in Rhodesia/Zimbabwe until I was 18. My dad died & my mom & I moved to Cape Town. Whilst there are beautiful places there, it was never home. I've lived in the UK for 20 years now, but my heart longs for Africa. I've never been to Kenya but I would love to go. I've seen all of the big 5 & more during my time in Africa. Elephants are my favourite wild animal.Then lions. I long for my old, much simpler way of life. I hope I can visit Africa one last time before I die. I've been learning so much about the Masai people. I love the traditional dress. The men look handsome & strong, the women beautiful & colourful This Western world could learn so much, from the cultures & peoples of Africa. The west thinks they've taught Africans so much, & yes they have brought some good. But the west has lost all morals & values. Family means so much to the people of Africa. They respect & look after their elders. Here the old folk are put in care homes & left. My tears flow as the memories flood over me, & the wonderful childhood I had in Africa. I was blessed. Every child should have at least one chance to visit Africa, not the cities, but the true Africa.
